Hoover Color Corporation was established and incorporated in 1923 and it markets its natural and blended iron oxide pigments as well as their resale products through a network of regional distributors and agents. The company s business is divided into four areas. These areas include the mining, production and sale of natural and blended iron oxide pigments; the toll manufacturing of a wide variety of pigment blends; the distribution of pigments, both under the manufacturer's label and manufactured to Hoover Color's specification in toll production agreements; and the manufacture and sale of the Hoover Automatic Muller. The company owns 3,000 acres of land in and around Hiwassee, Va., where it maintains its mine sites, production facilities, laboratories and corporate offices.
