Provided by YP.comDo not rent from these people. Do not allow these people to manage your property. They will not fix anything. They will not see that your yard is kept up. They are only worried about two things. Your money and their pockets. For your own sanity.... Find another property or management company. Call me for more details. I have experienced this first hand. Ken 423-883-7817

Provided by YP.comGreyhaven is the absolute worst realty company I have had the displeasure of working with. During the course of our tenancy, they rarely ever responded to issues that needed to be taken care of. For example, the walkway leading from our driveway to the front porch consisted of stepping stones placed on top of sand. Following several rain storms the sand between the stones eroded and caused the walkway to become extremely uneven. We called Greyhaven several times, and they simply stated that they would take care of it, needless to say they didn't. As a result, my wife who was then six months pregnant, fell and bruised her lower back and tailbone area. They walkway was finally fixed 7 months after her fall. Further examples include the time in which a powerful storm knocked a large portion of our tree into our neighbor's yard. I called Greyhaven to inform them, and they failed to act for so long that I was forced to chop the broken portion of the tree by hand, in order to remove it from my neighbor's yard. However, these events pale in comparison to the egregious acts of dishonesty they committed prior to our departure from the house. Despite two years of paying rent early, and doing everything in my power to be a good tenant, they decided to withhold part of my deposit for reasons beyond my control. Following our final walk-through in which the property manager stated that everything looked okay(with the exception of the oven and the fridge that she thought needed further cleaning even though they were dirty when we moved in), the house was burglarized and some items that we never used were stolen. These items include: a lawnmower, curtains, shower curtain, and decorative candle holders. As a result, Greyhaven has subsequently asserted that we stole the items and withheld their value from our security deposit. Since hearing this I have repeatedly tried to get in contact with the property manager only to be told that she is " in a meeting." Additionally we tried to explain that we would not steal $200 worth of items if it meant risking the loss of our $1000 deposit. Finally we argued that stealing their property is entirely inconsistent with our behavior during the time we lived there, and especially just prior to moving out. Before moving, we spent a large amount of money professionally repainting a room and cleaning the house. They also charged us to clean the carpet after we had it professionally cleaned, claiming that it had dirty spots. This occurred in spite of the fact that the contract from our initial walk through indicated that the carpets were in poor condition. Finally, they claimed they had to have the house treated for fleas, a statement that I completely disagree with. However, for argument's sake lets assume the house needed it. Instead of using the money from our non refundable $250 pet deposit (money that the contract explains is reserved for such purposes) they took the money out of our $1000 security deposit. After everything was taken out, we received a check for $385, an amount that is far less than what we are owed. Unfortunately, we moved out of state and as a result are left with few options to recover our money. If we decided to litigate the issue we would spend more money on our legal fees and court cost than we could possibly recover. It is my personal belief that Greyhaven is aware of this fact and exploiting it for their own monetary gain. Ultimately, it is not about the money, it is their pervasive lack of respect and decency that I resent. I would recommend that anyone considering renting a house avoids Greyhaven at all cost. I believe that they are willing to behave unethically in order to wrest as much money from their tenants as possible.
