Provided by YP.comI would like to leave feedback now that the interaction with Pastor Marc Anderson is over with. My roommate spoke with him numerous times on the phone and he sounded great, he said he has never done a gay wedding and that ours would be his first. He told us he would be charging us $195.00 for the ceremony then asked if we had a professional wedding photographer yet. We explained money was tight due to the cost of the wedding and that we had not gotten one yet. He offered his wife who he claimed was a "professional wedding photographer," and said she would do it for $100.00; if we allowed him to use our pictures from our wedding to market his services to the gay community. He then said he had a conflict because another party had put a deposit down already and he had to do their wedding the same day as ours but in Flagstaff. A few days later he called back and said he was mistaken that wedding was the day before ours and we are all good for May 16th at 2pm. The day of the wedding he was unable to be reached then finally calls says he is up the road funny because he didn't show up for another 45 minutes after his call. In total he was almost 2 hours late to our wedding. So, you can imagine our panic and dismay considering his lengthy oops haven't arrived yet threw the time frame of our wedding completely off course and food scheduled to be served etc. At the minute he decided to finally arrive we were so angry and upset but knew it was too late to find another to perform our ceremony. After he and his wife showed up to our location not only were my partner and I mortified by his appearance many of our guests had something to say about him and the feeling he gave them. He was sweaty, disheveled looking had some type of of fedora on his head and he appeared to wanna impersonate Dan Akroyd's character from the Blues Brothers unfortunately for Pastor Marc he's not Mr. Akroyd. In the good pastor's defense he did discount his fee due to his excessive tardiness. Ceremony was performed and he and his wife were fed our guests ate and most had to leave and his wife the "professional photographer" had to be told how and where to take pics and she missed out on photographing the majority of attendees at our wedding. A week rolls by and we receive our digital copies and we were so very appalled and DISSATISFIED!!!!!!! If his wife claims she is a professional then so is everyone who owns a camera. For the $100.00 we paid after he tried to say she'd do it for $300.00 but we had to remind him of his agreed upon amount of the $100.00 we were sent 57 pictures of the same pic and pose and three pictures of our guests. Once I told him I had severe issues with this he got uppity with me then said his wife should be compensated for her time and that he would give us a refund of $22.80 and that he would hold rights to our pictures.. I told him keep the refund we will never recommend his or his wife's services to any of our fellow gay community or our worst enemies, this guy really and honestly screwed our wedding up because he lied and did have a wedding in Flagstaff the same day. Thanks Pastor Marc for ruining a day we can never get back. Oh, but after reviewing his reviews where on one of them he never mailed or turned in a couples marriage license he did remember to mail ours in.
If by chance anyone needs to see pictures of our wedding or needs further information in regards to this man feel free to contact me personally at [email protected]
Sincerely,
Matthew Kaufman and Craig Smith and Guests
