This used to be 5 stars - I've been using Lakewood Photo for decades, was always happy to see Wim and Tom and thankful for their help and advice. After moving to Grand Haven, I haven't been there very often but knew where to go when my Canon T3i needed help. That was on December 10, 2014. It is now September 11, 2015 and I still don't have my camera. It has not been fixed. No one ever calls me, nor do they bother to come to the phone when I call, even tho I have always been extremely nice and polite. When I go to the store, itself, they are usually 'not there' or refuse to acknowledge me. When I saw other reviews claiming the same problems, I thought they were just cranky complainers. I'm here to tell you to avoid this business at all costs. I understand mistakes or glitches can happen in any business, but to hold my camera hostage for over 9 months and refuse to talk to me is totally unacceptable. I'm flummoxed as to what to do next except to contact an attorney. Ignore this review at your own risk.

Provided by YPmobileAwful, awful, awful. I was origiy quoted 6-8 weeks..brought my camera in to be repaired in May, it is now August and I still don't have it back. They either A) don't return my phone calls B) make up another lie of a time frame or C) tell me they just ordered a part. So unprofessional. Every person I talk to avoids blame and hangs up the phone. Stay away from here!

Provided by YP.comI love their service and quality. However; their website and on-line servicing is BAD and DIFFICULT to use. I have often wanted to quick download photos and have them printed at Lakewood Photo because I like to support small, local businesses, and also their quality is great and service very friendly. However. Whoever designed their online services website should be immediately fired. It is terribly difficult and slow to navigate.

Provided by YP.comI had went in to the store to buy a lens cap. while i was in the store i had asked the owner if they repaired cameras at the store as they have a sign that you can get it checked out buy there tech for 20$ sit down fee. I made sure it was in house as i could ship a camera my self for less. he told me repairs are in house. i left the store and came back a few days later to drop off camera for there "in house tech" to take a look and let me know what was wrong with the flash. i asked one more time that it was local repair and paid the 20$ sit down fee. I waited 3 weeks and called the store and they told me they had to talk to there tech and he would not be in the store till noon and they would give me a call. 3 days later i called and they did not know and to call back Monday as it was sat. I called back Mon. at 2pm and they said they will talk to there tech and call me in a few, a little while later they called and give me the price it would cost to fix and i said thats fine do not fix it and i will pick the camera up today. the owner told me that i could not pick up the camera and i asked why he told me that it was in Illinois. i said when i dropped it off you said it was in house . no response and when can i pick it up, he said 3 days. So on Fri. I called and they did not have it. Sat. i called they did not have it, and Monday they said to stop calling they will have sometime this week and he does not want to here from me again. at this time i still do not have the camera and do not know where it is or when it will be back so far
They have lied to me from the start, i would not take the word form anyone in that store.they are rude and very standoffish as well as lie for business
Do not trust them
Do not use Lakewood photo!!!!

Provided by YP.comBought a 2 year old defactive camera that was sold as new at full cost. Would not refund or exchange item. Will NEVER buy from again!!!!
