We had been using Back to Basics Cleaning for about six months to clean vacation rentals. There were a couple quirky little things but nothing major until we had a smaller unit done by them. The owner sent her staff to clean. They did not clean several of the usual items such as the sink with dishes left in it , toilet, drawers, dusting and basic cleaning. It was really bad and I could not rent it that way. When I complained to the owner that her staff had not done a good job she told me she believed her staff that they did clean the unit and instead of offering to reclean it she quit, stiffing me on a larger job that was to be done two days later. I don't live near the properties. I explained that I was in the apartment and had seen the cleaning job (she did not see it) and that the cleaning wasn't done properly. I was hoping she would honor her website statement of redoing the cleaning if not satisfied but she said she supports her staff 100% and if they said they cleaned then she believed them. I was beyond shocked that the owner did not even come to take a look at the job. This company does not honor what they state and the owner behaved in a very poor manner with no regard to customer service.
So, basically don't complain if you use this company because they will not reclean anything nor will the owner care to check the work of her employees!
