Provided by YP.comColleen and her staff are exceptional with animals. Very caring, calm, and respectful of client requests. I had an elderly cat that could no longer groom himself and had never been bathed and he was very content and relaxed when I returned to pick him up. My new kitten who is long-haired has begun to get mats and has responded to his visits with no stress (besides his nervousness riding in the car), and the staff is always personable and obviously concerned about the animal's well-being. Prices are reasonable as well.

Provided by YP.comI have been taking my toy poodle to Country Groomers for over 7 years, I recommend them to everyone. They are very good with my dog, who used to get pretty neurotic during grooming. Clifford always looks and smells great, and I appreciate there advice. I will now start taking my Yorkie who is still a puppy.

Provided by YP.comThis place has the best Groomers in and outside of Hollister. I have been taking my dogs for about 3 years now.
I have a cocker and a shih tzu. and everytime i bring them they look great when they are done. they smell great and are very happy to be there . i have tried others places here but they do not know how to groom dogs. and you can't beat the prices here too. I have to places in Morgan Hill and San Jose and the prices are high I paid $ 45.00 and $ 55.00 for my 2 dogs. The Girls here are very nice and are really gentle with your pets. You ask somebody around here where is the best place to take your dog and they'll say oh Country Groomers is the best here.
THANKS COUNTRY GROOMERS FOR
DOING A GREAT JOB ON MY
BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comThey don't know what they're doing. They freaked me out and said my dog had ringworm when he didn't - he just had a rash THEY gave him with their clippers. They didn't finish grooming him, never touched my other dog, and I (like a fool) listened to them, and paid an emergency vet fee. By the time I walked out of the vet's office, the rash they had given him was gone. I was never offered so much as an apology - when I called to inform them they made a mistake, I was yelled at. They've told lie after lie, and haven't shown an ounce of professonalism throughout the whole ordeal. It's definitely worth the drive to have your pets groomed by true professionals. Petsmart in Gilroy is better, and they charge less.

Provided by YP.comAll I ever did was call in and calmly tell you that you were way wrong about the ringworm. You took that as me being rude, and began yelling at me. My mom saw the dog, I saw the dog, my cousin saw the dog, my boyfriend saw the dog, and my vet saw the dog - none of us saw anything that even closely resembled a circle. Why would we all lie? I've asked for no compensation, and have no reason to lie, but obviously you do.
There was a minor rash - again NOT A CIRCLE - but the rash, which probably came from your clippers, disappeared shortly after I paid the emergency vet fee. You're blatantly lying about how you people handled the situation, and you know it. You've added that the rash was round after the fact because you know deep down that you screwed up. You can lie to the readers of these reviews, but God knows you're full of it!
You guys already admitted that just the one dog was matted badly (because his hair DOES suck), now you make it sound like they were both so horribly neglected ... anything to avoid admitting that you guys were wrong to ever think it was ringworm.
I appreciate businesses that take educated precautions, but crying wolf isn't impressive. You lack credibility.

Provided by YP.comI dropped my two shih tzus off to be groomed. I admit their hair was pretty bad off. Less than an hour after I dropped them off, I got a call saying they thought one of my dogs had ringworm - so he was just partially shaved, and they said they couldn't touch my other dog at all, and I had to pick them up immediately. I rushed my dog to the vet, and the vet laughed at me. He said ringworm is obvious, and you don't "think" an animal has it - you just know. All it was was they wanted to be done for the day! They could have just said that. They didn't have to scare me into paying an emergency vet fee. I would have brought them back another day without complaining. So now I have one partially shaved dog, and one that was never touched.
In response to this review I'd like to take the time to tell "our" side of the story. The two shih tzu's came in for they're scheduled appt. and were immediately started on the grooming process. We usually bathe dogs first hand but these animals were in such bad shape and so severely matted that it was necessary for us to remove the hair before bathing them. Right off the bat we noticed several issues concerning this one shih tzu, he had an over grown rear dew claw that was growing into his back pad that had to be cut and removed from his foot, his ears looked like they were starting an infection and were compacted with ear hair, and after shaving the majority of the matted hair away from the animal we noticed red rashy irritation surrounding his neck area! One of the rashy spots appeared to be in the form of a circle that was raised from the skin and was irritated looking, because we ARE NOT a vet and are unsure of the actual look ringworm has except the text book description, "we" as dog groomers have to make the best decision we feel to ensure the safety of ourselves and the other animals we have in our care since ringworm is highly spreadable to humans and other animals! The groomer then contacted the owners and notified them of the situation explaining we are not a vet and cannot say for sure that her dog had ringworm, that we could not finish her dog until a vet told us it was in fact not. We were only taking the necessary precautions we felt needed to ensure the sanitations and cleaniness of our facility. We had scheduled dogs coming in through out the rest of the day so i assure you that the case wasn't so we could "be done for the day." We take pride in our business and the clients that we serve and wished that we could of properly taken care of these animals since it was obvious that they needed our care. It's unfortunate that we cannot make everyone happy with our services but again we were just being precautious of anything being spread to other animals while they are in our care.
