It’s definitely been an interesting journey, and I am excited to officially announce the opening of first free standing location of Rave Aesthetics Studio. But let’s rewind and see how we got here… PMU was one of those extra circumstantial life events that kind of landed in my lap unexpectedly. Prior to being here, I served in maritime search and rescue for a few years, and subsequently some time after, I spent 7 years studying undergrad accounting and graduate corporate finance. I started out with one of the biggest financial service firms in the world, but it never felt quite right. In fact, I felt like a fish out of water. Sure, I could crunch numbers and chase money, but was it making me happy? No. So after less than a year, I walked away from a position with much notoriety in search of a career that actually fulfilled me. Even being an artist my whole life, I was told it would never make any money, or it wasn’t a real job. Quite frankly, I realized it was never about the money. It was always the gratitude of transformation. The artistry. The self-expression. Helping people. When you’re passionate about what you do, things will start to fall into place. And that’s how I ended up finding myself in the field of aesthetics. I took my time. Worked on clients for free in the beginning. Collaborated for trade. Put my nose to the ground and grinded, constantly evolving and reinventing my techniques with every case. Obsessed over how I can keep improving and becoming more efficient each time. So now, after a few years of occupying a small corner in another studio/spa, I’ve finally opened my own space. It’s going to have a funky, cool & fresh vibe that I can’t wait to share with you guys on this journey.
