Holmen Area Library is operated by the government of Holmen Village in Wisconsin, which was incorporated in 1946 and has a population of more than 7,800 residents. The village operates police, joint fire, highway and streets, sanitation, water, and parks and recreation departments. Its utilities serve over 2,760 customers. Holmen Village s street department maintains nearly 35 miles of streets. Its fire department offers medical response and emergency services. The village also houses a public works department. Holmen Village additionally governs the School District of Holmen, which manages various elementary, middle and high schools. The village has more than 10 parks that feature hiking trails, sledding hill, ball fields, tennis courts and picnic areas.
