DO NOT PAY IN CASH!!

I paid for my daughter's school photos with a check. When students got their photos back, she did not receive hers. After verifying with my bank that the check was cashed , I had to submit proof (a copy of the cashed check) in order for them to send me my daughter's photos. While I understand that bookkeeping errors may occur from time to time, I am concerned about the fact that if I had paid cash, we would have been out of luck.
