The Holyoke Fire Department is operated by the city of Holyoke, Mass. The department provides fire prevention and life safety services, as well as prehospital emergency care. It offers elderly fire safety education, engineering, fire suppression and nonemergency services. The department also operates firefighting and fire alarm divisions. The Holyoke Fire Department s fire prevention bureau performs routine inspections of public places, women s shelters, boarding houses, hospitals and schools. The department offers tank removal and child seat installation services. It is responsible for providing sprinkler permits, as well as reviewing underground storage tanks. In addition, the Holyoke Fire Department supplies off-duty firefighters for several community functions.
