14 years ago we adopted a puppy from this shelter. We just had to put her down. She was a great dog, loyal and loving. When we're ready, I won't hesitate to come back here for another dog.

I absolutely love this animal shelter. We bought our puppy back in 2009, and yes he did have kennel cough, but that was it. He is one of the best dogs I have ever owned. I would come here again and adopt another puppy.



Also, this shelter is a non kill shelter!

If you have to part with your pet -DO NOT TAKE IT HERE!! The sight claims you will have to go through an interview process, bring your whole family in for a compatibility test, and they will contact your vet to make sure you are a good adoptive parent. Not true! Any person off the street can come in empty handed and leave with a new pet, as long as you've got the cash/credit card to pay. Also, pets are not apparently screened by a vet. We adopted a dog last week whom we were told was a 5 year old, taken from a puppy mill, but was otherwise healthy. Not the case. She was 10 - 12, riddled with cancer, and had to be put down 4 days after we brought her home - after my family fell in love with her!

I have adopted 2 dogs in my life time from TLC and they were like finding goldmines. The staff are helpful and friendly and its a great and wonder place.
