Provided by YP.comhorrible animal clinic. i took my cat because he was thr0wing up everything he ate. even after they gave him a shot for the v0miting at another clinic. first of all i never got to speak with this gilley person he will not show his face to the clients. his briliant idea was to give a cat who thr0w up everything some 0ral medice. obiously he would just throw up the 0ral medice the same way he thr0ws up after getting shots for not thr0wing up. it also took him 9 hours to run a simple bl00d test and did not put my cat on any kind of fluids for the dehidration even though they said he was going to. he kept my cat in tiny cage all day withought taking care of it. when i took my cat to another place later that day they told me the cat has a fever now and is extremly dehidrated thanks to gillies extreme neglect. he kept triying to send the cat home when he obiously needed treatment and i told them i was willling to pay. they could run all the tests they wanted but i guess gillie didn't feel like it. the cat just sat in a cage for 9 hours. this guy has no common sense. i will never set foot at this clinic again. he almost ki!!ed my cat. this guy can not handle anything beyond rabies shots. the place is dirty too if some one goes to inspect that place they will probably close hin down. i hope they do.

Provided by YP.comI have been going to Dr. Gilley for 25 years. I used to breed Australian Shepherds. Dr. Gilley treated my aussies with care and professionalism. There were many times he gave me tips instead of selling me a product. The office is maintained clean and has bathrooms for customers. There are many times the office may be full but Dr. Gilley charges less if his employees take the dog to the Dr. If you want to see the Doctor there is an extra charge. I used to rescue dogs and there were a couple of times years ago he didn't even charge me because I was trying to find a home for the dog I rescued. His rates are very fair especially for low income customers. I have had to put down dogs and Dr. Gilley has been very compassionate. They also provide cremation. I could compare Dr. Gilley to the Incredible Dr. Pol. I like to see the Dr. privately for my appointment but if you go for tags they make it very simple. Jannette Faust

Provided by YP.comI read that some people here have no idea what an advantage it is not to have to see the vet in person , cost and efficiency both. All vets are forced to spend more time with the pet owners chatting, taking up valuable time that the vet could be spending to help other pets and pet owners. Dr Gilley has his knowledgeable staff talk with the pet owners, get the details and relay them to Dr Gilley - in a fast, correct, business, manner without the delays all pet owners take talking about their pets. DR Gilley is able to treat and save more than twice the number of pets in doing this and cut the cost of vet medicine down by a Lot for the pet owners. Think about it. He does surgery, handles emergencies if they come in, gives meds and shots and vaccinations as well with the help of his long time well experienced technicians he has working with him. Pet owners don't need a '' bedside manner'' and triple charges like most vets charge with their personal visit program. We have been clients of Dr Gilley since Hurricane Andrew when 2 of our dogs got heart worm after the storm when we had our meds blow away, no mail service and disaster for our pets. Dr Gilley is a kind humanitarian who Kindly helped us with discounts and comp service to care for our pets many times over the years. He personally did listen to me when I cried over the loss of a puppy too. We can not recommend this clinic highly enough . You may have to wait your turn but you can be assured that your pet will have no nonsense medical service by a kind vet and staff who really care. No one is 100 % but Dr Gilley and staff are 99.999 % wonderful and perfect. He has saved many of our family pets over the years from suffering and not made us bankrupt in the process. Take a good book or enjoy the camaraderie of the other pet owners while you are waiting. I wish we could clone Dr Gilley , his cute Wife Dawn, and their staff. Gina & Jose Rosa & all our family pets.

Provided by YP.comI honestly don't understand the bad reviews. My parents started taking their pets to Dr. Gilley before he even started his own practice 30 years ago and I've been taking my own to him for the past ten years. He has always been kind and compassionate. The prices are more than reasonable and they don't pressure you to buy services or products that aren't necessary.
When I was about 7 years old, my mom and I were home alone when our 90-lb dog had a stroke. She called Dr. Gilley and he came to our house, picked him up and cared for him through the night. Our dog pulled through and lived for another 3 years. I don't think Dr. Gilley even charged us for saving his life.
People get frustrated because the wait is long and Dr. Gilley isn't always available, but they need to understand that he has critical patients that they don't know about- emergencies come in through the back door and sometimes include injured police animals.
If you need to see him, call before you go in and make sure that he is there. Dr. Gilley and his staff have taken great care of my pets for many years and I plan to see him until the sad day that he retires!

Provided by YP.comDr. Gilley is one the best veterinarians we have ever encountered.
Not only is he an excellent vet, but he is very caring about animals, and not the money, as other vets are!
He is honest, and will only charge you for what is necessary and not for his own profit.
His prices are very fair, therefore, it would make it possible for more people to adopt animals, give them a good home, and take them off the streets, only because they can afford the care.
The staff is also very knowledgeable and pleasant as well, and are always there to help you.
God Bless Dr. Gilley and his staff for all the good they do.

Provided by YP.comIt's sad to see the bad reviews, but I think they're in response to a specific staff person, who may no longer be there, but not about Dr. GIilley. When I lived in Florida, I had so many rescued pets after Hurricane Andrew and I would usually bring him about five pets at a time. He would give them excellent care and he would always take the time to listen and explain things, no matter how busy he was. And someimes not charge, or very little. He once treated and boarded a sick homeless cat for 2 weeks until my friend could keep it, and he did it all and didn't charge anything. So, Dr. Gilley is extremely compassionate with animals and he's an excellent vet. I would always hear people's conversations in stores talking about how amazing he is, or how he saved their pets life.

Provided by YP.comI'm writing this review to respond to those who said that all of Dr. Gilley's 5star reviews are fake: When I lived in Florida I rescued and owned so many cats and dogs, from the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew in 1992. I don't know how many times I came in with 5 or more pets at a time, and my bill would be zero,or $7, or less than $20. He once treated and boarded a sick homeless cat for three weeks until my friend could keep her, and the bill was zero. Not only is he EXTREMELY compassionate, but definitely not in his profession for the money. He's very knowledgeable and experienced and would never try to rush his patients along, despite having a waiting room full of people. He always took the time to explain everything. It's really sad to see negative reviews about how some people and their pets were treated during their visit. I had very bad experiences with the manager/receptionist during my last visits there several years ago, and I stopped taking my pets to him for that reason.

Provided by YP.comCompassionate and effective, Dr. Gilley and his staff go above and beyond the call of duty. They treat everyone, without appointment, in the order you arrive, and understandably, if you need to see the Dr. personally you have to wait your turn. For emergency service be smart and call. Provided by YP.comThey don't let you into the exam room with your pet, "ARE THEY HIDING SOMTHING" Dirty waiting are, pet hair in all the corners of the bench seats I imagine there are fleas in that pet hair, all it takes is a vacuum every once in a while. staff very unprofessional. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC.

Provided by YPmobileI didn't really feel good about this place. The staff was nice, but they took my dog in the back to check her out and assured me that nothing would be done with out my consent. However when they brought her back out they informed me that they had already given her a shot. That made me very uncomfortable. I don't feel comfortable taking my dog back, and would probably not recommend any one I know to go. The way things happened made me feel like they were trying to play me.

Provided by YP.comI love Dr Gilley, he has always been warm and compassionate...You people who write terrible things about him should be ashamed. Many people who cannot afford this very over priced vet care in Miami go there and that is why he is so swamped. He has taken care of all my animals and is a very caring way. Hes worth his weight in gold. Be nice people he is doing the best he can,

Provided by YPmobileI've been going to Dr. Gilly for 30 years, since before he moved across the street. He has saved many of my animals but when he can't I have received nothing but compassion from him and his staff!! I won't go anywhere else...EVER! I once brought him a cat with an eye problem(she had been in a fight), he removed the eye, gave me antibiotics and charged me $0.00 NOTHING. He loves all his patients.

Provided by YP.comThe place might be crazy and the staff a little harsh, but today, my Bella(a 10lb Chihuahua-Poodle) is alive because of Dr Gilley and his crew. This morning Bella got hold of a Bufo Toad and she began vomiting, her limbs went stiff, and she was having seizures. On the way to the clinic we'd thought we'd lost her because her eyes were red and bulging, her tongue was swollen and bluish-black and she was screaming in pain. After spending hours in their clinic, Bella is now home with antibiotics and eye-drops and, though still disoriented from anesthesia, she is on her way to recovery. THANK YOU DR GILLEY!!!

Provided by YP.comWe took our dog in due to a respiratory ailment. The doctor gave her some shots and meds. We were instructed to come back in the a.m. She passed during the night. I called and informed the clinic that she passed. The receptionist was very sorry. I told her to inform Dr. Gilley. However, We never heard from the "good doctor!"

Provided by YP.comI think Dr. Gilley is a very generous man. He has helped me on more than one occasion and I really appreciated all of his help and concern. I have been in his office and they have never turned me away, they have answered all of my questions and then some. They are always polite but sometimes they get busy, have some courtesy and wait your turn. They by no means have a fancy office (low overhead = low prices) but it is kept clean. I brought my dog to Dr. Gilley and was told he was sick. I explained my situation and Dr. Gilley kept my pet for 4 days and treated him (as far as I am concerned) like one of his own. Everybody has bad days you know. Your cat was throwing up - oh my goodness take blood and run a battery of tests. I probably would have done the same thing he did. That's the problem with society today - blame someone else. Maybe it was your cats time? I hear people say I don't like this hospital - they killed my grandma. Lady your grandma was 98 years old, maybe it was her time. So let me get this straight... you brought your cat to a vet and they gave it a shot - that did nothing and then you brought it to Gilley... WHY? How come you didnt take the cat back to the first vet??? Apparently he did nothing to help your cat either. Did you bash the other vet as well? Can anyone please you? Maybe Dr. Gilley can pull a crystal ball out of his hind quarters and see what is wrong with your pet. I am sorry but it infuriates me to no end for you to bash this guy when all he does is care about our animals.

Provided by YP.comHe is the most wonderful man in the world. He's not in it for the money only the health of the dog. He very inexpensive and he's most caring. He looks at all the dogs, his staff only assist. You can choose to wait to see the doctor or have one of the assistance take your pet in the back.
He gives you true and loyal advise.
My dog was very sick with cancer. He could have kept him alive a little while longer but we chose to not let him live in pain. Thanks Dr Gilley -
We take all our dogs to him and have for years.
