It takes a lot for a restaurant to impress me but Cafe Maharani does it and has been doing it for many years now. I can't think of any other restaurant on Oahu that has a line outside it's door every day before it opens at 5PM. That says a lot in my book. Anyway, where to start...first of all the atmosphere is really cool and all the tables, walls, silverware, and light fixtures have an Indian style about them. There's also a TV that's always got some Indian movie playing with lots of dancing to get your head moving. Now how's the food you say? Well it's unbelievably good!!! Remember that line that's always there at 5PM? That's because the food is soooo tasty and the portions are huge! I mean really, you get a curry for $18 and it's enough to feed two people. Every dish is like that and you will have leftovers for sure! The manager of Cafe Maharani, Mohammed, is the sweetest guy you've ever met and how he keeps his cool when his restaurant is so insanely busy I'll never know but he does it. If you love Indian food with great service you've got to visit this place.

Food is not authentic at all. Owner/ manager Mohammed was very rude and unprofessional.
Would not recommend to anyone!
