This company is a college students' worst nightmare! As summer semester progressed I started to experience difficulty with the production of my laptop and sought after a professional opinion. Originally, Optinet said that a new hardrive was needed and recommended that the old one be replaced. I was a bit skeptical but thinking with my desperate student brain, I obliged. Fast forward------> shortly after arriving home with my laptop I plugged it in, pressed the power button and to my surprise guess what happened? There was a blank screen with a dim light at the bottom. So I called Optinet to inform them of the issue I was experiencing and of course they suggested that I bring the machine in so they could "take a look at it." (I arrived at their Interstate building location) After plugging in the machine and pressing a few buttons their personnel had assured me that the issue was fixed and that the computer was running with excellence. A few days later I started to experience the same issue so once again I took it back so they could take another look. After a few days of poor communication I received a call from them and apparently they had discovered a new diagnoses that had failed to register several days prior. The final diagnonsis was "motherboard failed, new pc recommended." It would have been nice if they would have informed me of this mistake prior to receiving my monies, giving me an attitude about my concerns, and brushing me off. I'm not looking for sympathy or backlash but I honestly feel I was duped and conned. So before you consider giving business to or doing business with Optinet Hawaii, LLC just remember the review that you read on yellowpages.com that was posted by the struggling college student who sacrificed the leisure of spending summer break at home with his or her family in the means to pay for computer repairs from a faulty and or defunct business.
