I will NEVER go back to this place. We went in for a check engine light and were told the repairs were thermostat related and quoted under 300 dollars. It took them 10 days to get the repairs made and when we went to pay the bill the till was about $900. They had done over $500 of work on the brakes that we had never authorized. When we talked to them the best they stated they could take off was less than $200. The manager acted like he was doing a great favour for us. To make things even worse the first time I went to drive the car the check engine light came on again and my thermostat was not sitting correctly. When we took the car back to the shop we were treated as if we were bothering them and our concerns were brushed to the side. I was told "something new must have broken" for the check engine light to come on again; they had not even checked anything at this point. Keep in mind that the only place the car went after being in the shop was a 10-mile drive home. So the thermostat was not the issue, but the work was done and no responsibility was taken for any of their neglect or incompetence. The part that really made me upset was that the owner kept brushing us off and would not even talk to us about the matter afterwards. This was also the second time I had unauthorized work done to my car and Neil Tire and Auto charged me for it. The first time I let it go thinking that mistakes can be made, but now it seems like their business is ripping people off.
