Damaged my left front wheel and over repeated washings started to pull off a protective coating on the hatchback. I really don't think this is unique to Maxx Clean. This is the risk you take when you don't use brushless car washes or ones that use rails to push your car through. I would say to just wash your car at self service facilities and you'll be fine.
