I recently purchased a mylar and latex balloon bouquet for my son's birthday. In addition to the 7 balloon bouquet, I brought in one balloon of my own (purchased from Party City) and asked that it be blown up and included in the bouquet. The owner stepped around the corner after hearing this request and stated that it would be an extra $15 to blow up the Party City ballon and add it to the bouquet.

Now while I am a huge proponent of supporting local business and I understand that the cost can sometimes be higher...I'm ok with paying a little more. But THIS is ridiculous. I went ahead and purchased the balloon bouquet minus my Party City balloon but I will not frequent this business again. Yes, I could have purchased everything at Party City but I chose to support Plaza Florist...a small business in my hometown. Thanks for appreciating my business, I won't be back and I won't support a business that gouges its customers under the premise of being a small business.

Business practices like this give other reputable small businesses a bad name. You should be ashamed.

I ordered Father's Day flowers...

I ordered Father's Day flowers for my mother, ordered orchids for $64.00 and my mother received a dead $10 Home Depot plant. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FLORIST TO ANYONE. THE OWNER WOULD NOT COMPENSATE AND HUNG UP ON ME.

First off the lady placed the order on line. When we received this order we knew we could not fill it. We called the number provided and got no answer, no machine to leave a message either. So we e-mailed her to let her know we could not fill the order. She never responded to the email. We told her if we did not hear from her we would fill the order with a blooming plant. Which is what we did. Her mother came in the shop with the plant and said it was dead which is was not. She said her daughter doesn't check her email. This is not our fault that the phone number she gave us was her work number and there was no machine to leave a message. My point is do not order flowers on line, call the florist direct and speak to a live person. Know what you are getting and what you are paying for. By the way she called the police on me in my own shop because I told her she had to keep the plant. The hope Mills PD advised me to put the flower by her car and if she left it there that was on her and not me, the plant was alive and beautiful. She left it in the parking lot. Someone else pick it up and took it home to enjoy. Her loss,someone elses gain. Thanks Owner Debbie
