The Best Little Motel in Hot Springs

We wanted to check out the town of Hot Springs for more than a few days and after checking prices on several of the chain motels - came across the Alpine Inn by luck online. This is one of the neatest little motels around. Only 15 rooms, so you do not feel over crowded and there is plenty of parking right at your door.

The owners are great people, a very friendly couple, extremely helpful and go the extra mile to make you feel right at home. Even fresh baked muffins one morning at our door. It is located just a few blocks (2-3) north of the historic arts district and is definately on the "right" end of town for easy walking, sightseeing, all of the art galleries, the bath house row, several great restaurants, live music(Maxine's), the national park, the tower, all the great historic buildings, pretty much everything is within walking distant or a very short ( less than 1 mile ) drive.

The rooms are nice, comfy and clean, we had the chance to stay in two different rooms over the week - our choice, the owners (who live on the premises) actually asked if we would like to move to a more spacious room, when we said we were staying for the week.

The price by comparison to the chains was less and considerably less than the boutique "spa" motels and hotels in town.

It would be our recommendation to anyone wanting to visit Hot Springs - for a day or longer.
