The hotel was historical alright. We were disappointed with our room. Very small, furniture is old, Tv was a box Tv, bedding was dirty, some type of bugs in the room flying around all night had to sleep with lights on. The room was just dirty from the base boards , carpet, to the shower door it was just nasty. Was not impressed at all.Would not stay there again. My advice just visit the hotel but dont stay there.Time for a makeover. So disappointed. They did reimburse our money. We were going to stay two nights but we only stayed one night.

They gave us a 3 pm reservation for the Christmas buffet, but did not tell us that they stop putting out food at 3. So half of the buffet was completely empty and the other half was scraps of cold food. The carving station had almost no meat. There was no fresh food at all. We tried to complain to the staff that they should not have given us a 3 o'clock reservation and the servers, cashier, and owner were extremely rude. They lied and told us that there was fresh meat being put out when we could clearly see there was nothing. We will NOT be going back next year.

I booked the Al Capone Suite on 10-8-14 for a birthday party I was having on 11-6-14. Upon arriving to check in at 4pm on a Thursday, the front desk clerk Kelsey had no record of me purchasing the room and did not care to use any customer service skills to search with my confirmation number that was giving to me when payment was made in October. She refused to give me a key and was demanding that I pay the $374 that I had already paid. She was very aggressive in her demeanor and continued to over-talk myself and other guests as we were trying to help her think. I decided to go speak with the lovely ladies in the sales department to further assist me, (Thank God the department was still open) and the ladies hadn't left for the day because I had guest arriving and Kelsey was of NO help. I was never giving an apology, a complimentary breakfast, compensated room or anything. This place is a joke and so are the incompetent staff.
