The guy that wrote that long review is so totally off base & incorrect. And Ridgewood doesn't even have2 bdrm 2 bath apartments here! Wow! Some People! Well that being said, As for my experience here at Ridgewood, we have lived here for almost 3 months now and to be honest it's the only reason I'm happy here in Arkansas. I wanted to move back to Alabama so bad until we found this place. It's a great community with nice clean apartments that are actually pretty soundproof compaired to my last apartment in Alabama & the house i lived in here in Hot Springs before we moved to Ridgewood I didn't know what a quiet apartment sounds like. The manager happens to be my neighbor and she's absoluty the nicest person i've met in Arkansas! We have been made to feel so welcome here and part of the community. I'm so very grateful to be living here! It's the only place I've called Home since I've lived in Arkansas! And I think a Huge part of Ridgewood being so great is the manager, Tricia, and both of the maintenance guys, Cliff & Mike! They're always right on it when we have anything that needs fixing! I Love living here & think anyone would that's looking for a great place to call home!

Ridgewood Apartments

I lived there for 8 months , this is a factual review based on my experience and that of other tenants that I have spoken to while I lived there. The Manager is NOSEY, She is a liar and apts are SMALL. The literature says Approx 600 sqft for the 1 bdrm and 800 sqft for the 2. I measured one night several times and got 530 sqft no matter how I measured it. I included the complete floor plan wall to wall and even if I had an outdoor balcony as mine had the fireplace instead! I will assume the 2 bdrm sqft is a lie as well. I know that 70 sqft is another room that I was cheated out of is all I can say. The Manager lied to me about fees, she will say whatever to make you sign a lease. I specifically asked her what it entailed, everything, to move up to a 2/2 in about 6 months down the road as I planned to move the family up. She just said we would move you in the first available 2/2 and my original lease end date would continue except in the now 2 and that’s it. 3 months later when I needed it because I figured I was stuck here I requested a 2/2 and then I was told about the $175 transfer fee plus waiting list! When I clearly saw people moving in and out and had co workers call to only be told they had 2/2 available now I wrote the owners and let them know everything that was going on. They released me from my lease thank GOD. What else you should know about Ridgewood, The managers husband works for the local cable company and will hound you to sign up. The manager parks in a Handicapped space because she says its close to her apt and her back can't take all the walking yet she walks her dog 24/7. Half the time she is not in her office, she doesn't keep hours and is usually at Walmart. Yes, you never know when she is a resident or manager, seems just at her convenience. The manager is constantly looking and meddling in the residents business and personal life. The WALLS are paper thin and you hear everything. Doors slamming at all hours, yes it’s true. They expect you NOT to vacuum the carpets, turn down your TV and not do laundry after 9 pm. The washer and dryer are 25+ years old small stackable, almost all the appliances are 25+ yrs old. Fridge is small and no ice maker, unless you are lucky to have gotten a unit with a new fridge. Electrical outlets are old and the plugs that you plug into them constantly fall out. I had to replace no less than 8 of them. The bathrooms have no place to store towels, nothing in the hall way so expect to store them in the ok sized (for 1 person) walk in closet. Your electric bill will be high as the a/c and dryer is junk, I regularly paid $125 and I was alone, no matter if I shut the a/c off while at work 11 hrs a day or turned it up to 82 while away. You get a water bill so tack that onto your rent. First apt complex that I see sends a water bill (most is included in rent) and it’s an estimate as the apts don't each have a water meter! I'd avoid this place all costs. There are a couple new apts for $30 more that are REALLY big and new just down the road. The only positive is that it’s clean but that’s how it should be and the owners are decent to let me go and refund my deposit but I left the place better than when I got it. On the morning I was to turn in my keys the manager went into my apt and threw out a box, the only box I left behind the night before with some personal belongings, satellite equipment before I came back to get it. I almost called the cops and made her go through the dumpster to get my satellite equipment out. I have it on Video and will put it on YouTube! Email imjustmeinfl at yahoo for my horror story
