I got the half smoked chicken, baked potato salad, baked beans & slaw. It was all excellent, but the chicken and potato salad were especially good. YUM! :-)

We have eaten there several times and it has always been very good. We had a celebration and Smokin In Style catered the party. It was fabulous, all our guest commented how good the food was and they were wonderful to plan the party with. It’s the Best BQ in Hot Springs!!

Hmmmmm

Yes I will admit food is good, but they have too many young folks working for them who don't care about their jobs.

Well I am new to the area and had heard mixed reviews by several different people, so decided to try it for myself. I have to say that I can see all sides of the different reviews that I have heard. I have heard that it was like a daycare with people bringing kids to work with them and on the day I was there there were 4 or 5 kids running around in the back, I hope the owner has good insurance in case of an accident a couple of them looked to still be in diapers. That could also go along with the other thing that I've heard that they are family owned and operated and maybe bringing the whole family to work is a good thing, but I found it very distracting as a customer and a couple of employees couldn't get any real work done for trying to keep up with the kids. The food is ok I have heard it was the best in town and I have heard it was not the worst but some people I've talked to haven't really been impressed. I was one that was really not impressed it was ok it was not the worst I've had but it was not by any means the so called best in town. I've had better service it wasn't the worse but it lacked any gratefulness to have a job in this day and age. It was more like I'm awake, dressed and here now when do I get to go home kind of service the kind you would expect from a teenager, but this was no teenager. Maybe the place is just a hellhole to work for I have heard that the owner leaves alot to be desired and only thinks about making a buck. The drink specials did not bother me I took advantage of one and had a beer with my meal and that was actually probably the best thing about being there that day. The tv's were loud but I felt like it was more to drown out the sound of the children running rampid and the adult yelling at them to stop by the way it didn't work.

I personally had no problem with the mexican help, but the menu is a bit confusing with all of the mexican choices. The other reviewer was correct about alot of the help playing around while I was there about half was finding something to do during the slow time and the other half was laughing and joking around at the front counter. I'd heard good things about the place and no doubt the food is good, but it's not what I thought it would be after all the things I'd heard but maybe since I went at a slow time I was getting what was left of the supposedly "really good stuff." I didn't see any one drinking but there was only 5 people in the place besides the employees, and 3 dirty tables, and the floor looked like I had just missed the big lunch rush. I can see where someone could mistake it for a sports bar though there were tvs in every corner and I noticed something that referred to daily drink specials. When you first walk in you see pictures of a little kid and then by the time you get to the counter you see big kids playing around. I have to agree with the other review it was like watching kids on a playground, and you can see signs of a later in the day sportsbar playground.

The food is good, but are they a bbq resturant or a mexican resturant. The menu was about half and half and most of the help looks like they just crossed over from mexico, but at least they were working the american help was to busy talking on cell phones or playing one was even out front drinking at a table of other people. I asked for the owner to voice my opion but was told good luck he's hardly ever here and offered me a manager instead. The owner needs to get a grip on his help they are like watching a bunch of kids on a playground, and decide if it's a bbq or mexican place. Also whats up with all the drink specials? Are you a mexican place bbq place or sports bar?
