If I could give a negative five stars I would give it. I have called the Social Security Administration in Hot Springs a total of three times within the span of three months. Each time I have the same question that is NEVER answered. First, after waiting an exceptionally long time (regardless of calling during "off peak" hours) I finally get someone who cuts me off mid-sentence in order to give me information they ASSUME I need. I was never allowed to finish my question although I politely began my question a second time. Each time I was cut off and I felt as though I was being "rushed off the phone" What kind of business is this? This happened to me the first two times. Finally, today I called to inquire who my actual "case worker" is because I am the representative payee for my oldest son who is disabled. I have a serious question to ask and felt I needed to speak with the person who actually handles our case. Again, after waiting 20 minutes I finally got someone on the phone. I politely asked for the name of the person who handles my case so I could be connected directly to their extension. I wouldn't have minded leaving a message for our caseworker if the line was busy. My point was just being connected to the right person. The lady who answered the phone's voice was distorted and I couldn't even understand what she was saying. I waited until she finished and was preparing to ask her to please repeat herself when she promptly hung up. The SSA in Hot Springs is AWFUL!!!
