This vet indirectly killed my cat... the use of the word "indirectly" is guarded. I brought my cat to her in order to cure a urinary infection, which is pretty normal for a neutered cat as their urethra does not grow with the rest of their bodies, much like the voice boxes of eunuchs of the old Catholic Church. Well, I bring him in and instead of relying on the test results of the peepee in the carrier, as my cat urinated on the way to the vet's office, she decided that she should get a "clean" sample by squeezing his bladder and forcing urine out into a cup. At my first sight of this procedure, I was impressed and exclaimed, "wow, I didn't know you could DO such a thing!" Well, I tell you this: NEVER ALLOW THIS OR ANY VET TO DO THIS TO YOUR PET. Just as you yourself would be completely mortified by this practice, so the animal is damaged also. I paid the very expensive bill and began administering the medicine that Dr. Knight gave me. In the next 24 hours my cat never peed. I stayed up all night with him and felt totally useless as he repeatedly tried and failed to pee. The moment the vet's office opened I was there to see what could be done. Of course the thing-to-do was entirely too expensive for me, especially after the enormous bill from the day before, so for a "completely obstructed urethra" all I could do was to put my boy to sleep. I should have written this eons ago; who knows how many others have suffered this fate?



It was entirely unnecessary for Dr. Knight to do this to my cat.
