The 1940 Air Terminal Museum, located at William P. Hobby Airport in Houston, preserves a rich heritage of civil aviation inside a classic Art Deco building the historic Houston Municipal Airport terminal. The first floor of this homage to early 20th century architectural design houses the museum’s collection and, together with the upper floors including the tower and observation deck, survives courtesy of the Houston Aeronautical Heritage Society. The museum sponsors a number of aviation-related events including “Wings and Wheels”, an open house fundraiser that occurs every third Saturday of the month, the annual “HobbyFest”, the Pops & Props Gala and Silent Auction, and the annual Wings Over Houston Airshow.
