I use A-1 Affordable Transport for a move they where excellent.....I would concider them two profesional movers again and to freinds.. They lifted couches both did over their heads down 2 flights of step didn't compailn at all you guys diserve a prize

Best Moving company in our opinion. Packed and moved all the stuff with great care and attitude. Trustworthy staff indeed. They weren't wasted time, worked hard to move within 4 hrs of time. Well done.

They made me proved that a last moment move can carry out so efficiently if there is a good mover like them in hand. A well executed move with much care. Perfect moving company and experienced staffs.

I have used John and Judy on numerous occasions to move for me. At Christmas they moved all the toys and gifts donated to Boys and Girls Country in Hockley. Everything arrive with nary a bow out of place. They also moved our 94 year old mother from one apartment to another and she never fretted about any of her antiques or nick-nacks. Judy came and oversaw all the packing and not a chip on anything. They do a fabulous job and are very honest and hard working.

DO NOT request for these people to come to your home. THEY WILL NOT SHOW UP!!! Who ever answered the phone stated that they can move me on today. they would show up between 3-4 pm! I called and left 3 voicemails. STILL NO RETURN CALL!! Then the idiot cut his phone off!!! These are LAZY workers I presume! Thank goodness I got another company to move me at 8:42 pm.... A-1 movers deserve to CLOSE DOWN. You all know nothing about customer service! LIARS!!!!!!!!!

Worst Experience Ever,so basically i called this guy who apparently was the owner of the company and scheduled the time for service. OK now it was time and he was not there at my place i kept waiting and neither he called so i called him few minutes later and he thought it was couple of hrs later so i was really frustrated.BUT here begins nightmare , few minutes later some other guy called and said he was told by the owner to come and help me load the furniture so i said OK and they told me to be here in one hr so i waited another hour.guess what, they(3 guys) showed up and they were all looked like gangster with tattoos all over and they picked up over furniture like they were pieces of crap and i saw them literally kicking my mattress few times just to take their frustration out because it was too heavy and they were just throwing the stuff around in the truck. I would never recommend anyone to these people.i have never encountered anyone so unprofessional movers ever in my whole life. Please be aware.

This place is a rip off, the old lady Judy comes off like a sweet grandmother, but she is a con artist. I hired this company to move me out of a 5 bedroom house and the first mistake was they sent a trailer instead of a truck to move me. The workers were seedy looking and they left half of my things and it took 5 hours to do that. I had to get family to help me move the rest of my things the following day. After unpacking I noticed that I had jewelry missing and a small laptop, which was broken missing. I called and made a complaint and Judy flat out just hung up on me and hasn't answered any of my calls since. I later found out that I had some money missing and my credit cards had been mysteriously used without my knowledge. About a week later one of the guys who had moved me was in the same pick up truck that pulled the trailer to move me was now pulling another trailer for another company moving my best friend. So I asked him about it and he said he works for both companies and that his brother in law owned the trailer he was pulling to move my best friend Sara. A few weeks later, she too was victimized. A-1 Affordable Movers are all crooks and they steal and I think that they are all in kahoots with each other stealing things from customers that won't easily be noticed missing until it's too late.



STAY AWAY FROM A1 AFFORDABLE MOVERS....SPREAD THE WORD!!!!

I used these movers based on the reviews, competitive prices, and the owner Judy was very pleasant on the phone. But for your own sake do not use these movers, the movers misplaced my girl friend's laptop computer worth $1,300 never to found again. The owner John (Judy's husband) did reduce the price 25% because of the theft but refused to go any further or use his insurance due to the $1000 deductible. So when all said and done I was out about $1050. Not a pleasant experience.

I chose the company based on the reviews here and am happy that I did. They were flexible enough to be on standby for me to tell when to arrive at airport and did everything very fast. Really happy with them. Thanks.

I should have used this moving company long ago. They were ahead of schedule and had fair, competitive prices. Judy (owner), is a doll and the actual movers were professional and polite. I highly recommand this moving company.

After Hurricane Ike blew the roof off my apartment, A1 Affordable movers were called to move residents from badly damaged units. The crew was extremely helpful and courteous. I will call this company for my next move. They did a great job.

I owned a moving business for 15+ years, performed thousands of moves and thought I would never find someone to move me that I would be happy with. John Alspaugh A1 affordable is that mover. They are very professional with exceptional knowledge, skills and excellent attitudes. If you are looking for a mover, you can stop right here!

I have a lot of big heavy furniture so I always worry about movers hurting themselves. The guys were'nt too big but they were very strong and moved everything just fine. They wrapped all my wooden furniture very well in what looked like heavy duty saran wrap nothing even got dinged. I did not remove clothes from the dresser's or anything. My china cabinet has a lot of glass and I have several glass top tables and mirrirs, they were all just fine. My only ding was on my refrigerator door-that one is easy to live with. I was on a tight budget and the price was right. Thanks John, Judy and Crew.

We have hired movers in the past and these people were by far the best. Nothing was broken and they worked at a great speed.
