I signed a written fixed price contract for a bathroom remodel in December 2009, work began early January 2010 and was not completed until April 2010. The incompetence, dishonesty was beyond my worst nightmare, from the first day when the demo crew cut out and stole my copper pipes through the granite guy cutting the granite incredibly crooked to the cabinet guy spraying colored varnish with his compressor while painters were sanding and carpet guy ripping out and stealing my carpet pad, leaving a sticky mess on the "custom" cabinets. Fixture parts missing and broken - closet doors won't shut - finally paid him to get out of my house.
