Provided by YP.comRobert is good coach. He is very particular about theory of tennis and details. He cares about each student, you can feel it during the tennis session. He also provides some videos to get better idea of certain things and see it in slow mode. He can teach you from the beginning or can help you to improve certain skills, like back hand or serve. I like to work with him.

Provided by YP.comMy son has taken lessons with Robert for some months and we really like how Robert teaches. From the beginning he has both emphasized a good technique and taught how to mentally approach the game. We actually became so convinced that both my husband and I also started to play. And it was then that we learned that Robert really meets everybody´s strengths and weaknesses with individually tailored methods. He absolutely tries to get the best out of everybody!

Provided by YP.comI met this extraordinary coach about a year ago, in the beginning I was a complete idiot, I didn't like ATL terms and conditions. I got the number through the internet and started texting him immediately and he answered but it was late and I rudely told him to stop texting me. Also, I didn't like the fact that I had to use my credit card to reserve my lesson. So I went away and found me someone else and this coach warn me he wouldn't be as good. Coach Perez was right, it's hard to find good teacher of this sport, this other coach ended up giving me bad strokes and tennis elbow. So I came back to coach Robert Perez and he just didn't give me a great game and great strokes, he cured me of my tennis elbow. I guess, being a certified USPTR, USNTA tennis pro and a certified Texas official and coaching for the last 40 years does pay off. This coach is truly remarkable, he can give you a great game strategically, mentally and cure and prevent you from injuries. You cannot go wrong with this guy!

Provided by YP.comAWESOME COACH!!!!! :)
The definition for a good game is hard work from the player that's doing it! This concept was a hard one for me to fathom! For the longest time I believed in just having a good coach and a good practice lesson. I've been with a lot of other coaches hitting balls from only the net and "that was it, I believed I would end up with a good game" but this proved just one thing, I can do it any which way I wanted over the net and these coaches never hit the ball back! Coaches feeding the balls from one direction, and never hitting it back, was idiotic to me, and yes, it gave me a good workout but I couldn't do the geometry from that one direction. It was getting me nowhere, it wasn't real enough for me! But coach Perez hit with me, showed me the correct strokes, put me in game patterns by being in the pattern and work on my first serve, second, top spin service and slice serve but I had to do the work on these things in between lessons! For example: two basket of serves before the next lesson. This is the lesson, I needed to learn, no one else is going to do it for me, the game is too complicated for any other approach! I needed to practice it severely in between lessons to make it my own! I finally grasp the concept. Coach Perez says "It will strengthen your self-efficacy and learn to appreciate your strokes and your game, even more". You will like this coach, he's like no other coach you will ever come across! I bet my game on it!

Provided by YP.comEXCELLENT COACH
Put me through the three steps of learning. Was the teacher, in the beginning in teaching me the strokes and then the coach. Coach me through my toughest matches by being the strategist, morale booster, and problem solver. It all took a very long time, at times, I wanted to quit but coach Perez reminded me and said to me "It's not about the outcome but the love of the battle. The more you embrace the battle, the more your eyes will be open to the possibilities, and in turn, love the game even more." With coach's help, I overcame my biggest obstacle/opponent, MYSELF. You will truly appreciate this coach and pay heed to every single word he says. Tennis and coach Perez has made me into a better person, on and off the court. You will also.

Provided by YPmobileThe Extra Mile Tennis Coach I hired coach Robert Perez to get my daughter from championship to a super championship level but in return I got so much more. For example, her first lesson went as expected, evaluated my girl's strokes but not just said what needed to be corrected but wrote it down. Also suggested different strokes to be added to her arsenal. Plus he wrote up a game plan of short-term goals, long term goals and what's going to be taught for the remaining hours. The pro also introduced an exercise program of flexible power. Your tennis artiste was also there for the very first tournament after extensively working to improve the old strokes and new ones and working on different game patterns. Now, she has new topspin second serve, a deadly drop shot and an awesome net game, to name a few. The maestro understood my girl's personality and confirmed it with a personality test and help evaluate my girl's opponents' personalities and motor skill traits. She now knows how to handle an offensive or defensive player to her advantage. This pedagogue has taught my girl about Code of Tennis and the rules through multiple choice questionnaires. From being a roving umpire himself he knows the complexities of umpiring, which is very valuable to a tennis player. To help the intensity of learning, your professional has documented every lesson for future reference. The expertise strings all of her rackets and has introduce her to new types of strings. Until now, I didn't know there was "square" strings, which has increased her topspin. This paradigm is a great role model and excellent coach and comes across with first-rate body language and tone of voice and what he says is always optimistic. Over the 40 years of teaching, it is obvious this specialist has improved his techniques of teaching tennis and my daughter has been with a number of PTR coaches, all have been good in one way or another, but to be exceptional at every aspect of teaching this game is a complete rarity. This man, this hard working guru is a one of a kind anomaly with a likeable personality. My daughter is now playing Super Championship tournaments and glad of it and still learning from coach Robert Perez.

Provided by YPmobileI am an impassioned lover of the game, in pursuit of an ardent and serious Tennis Pro looking for someone just to hit the ball with and no instructions. I came across at yp.com, Coach P, Coach Robert Perez, "the human backboard" is the person you're looking for if you're looking for the instructor that doesn't miss. He has a drill that's called 300, three hundred strokes by you on one side of the net, forehands... and backhands... adding up to 600 strokes with the instructor and normally Coach P puts away the last one. This takes about 30 minutes to be done and after this drill being "one with the ball" is definitely being done. Coach P has many other drills I have never seen in any tennis drill book. My abilities to track the ball and run after the ball has improved 100%, I am a completely satisfied customer. If your looking for an enthusiastic and militant Tennis Pro for an vehement defensive or offensive tennis game. Well, don't look no further Ace Tennis Lessons is the place to be and rhymes with first place! What else do you want?

Provided by YPmobileI met Mr. Perez for the first time a couple of years ago. I was getting my boy to a junior tennis tournament early that morning and my car broke down on the freeway. I tried to flag some people down but Mr. Perez was the only one to help us. He jump started my car and we were on our way, thanks to him. Not knowing then, we would meet again later that day. This time as an official USTA umpire, my son was suffering from heat exhaustion and fell to his knees and umpire Perez help my boy off the court, away from the heat. I wouldn't want to imagine what would have happened, if he wasn't there. I rush my son to get medical attention and several weeks later he was fine. After those two incidents I had to know this person to thank him again. I found out his full name and also that he is a tennis instructor and decided to give him a try and to thank him, maybe he can help me there too with tennis lessons. To my astonishment, coach Perez is a miracle worker. He just didn't approve my son's game, he also improve my game. He allowed me to be in my son's lessons and vice versa for my lessons and didn't charge me extra. We all have a great time, I'm winning my league matches and my son is winning his tournament matches. Coach/umpire/humanitarian Perez is a phenomenal coach and umpire and an exceptional person on and off the court. I would highly recommend him!

Provided by YP.comI once was a cab driver sports' junkie, driving my 6 year old daughter, Courtney from one sport to another. I became more and more aware of this when I enrolled her in Ace Tennis Lessons. The challenge alone in learning how to play tennis was improving her for all of the other sports, mentally, physically and also academically. I flat out asked her one day "Which one do you like the most?" she answered "Tennis". I don't know what compelled me to do so many sport activities, I guess I was just following all the other cab driver mothers. Coach Perez explains to me "In the long run, is there any passion learned here in doing all these sports?" "Will Courtney continue on doing this soccer, volleyball, karate, basketball and all these others in her lifetime?" "What is the real reason you want these Sports to be done, is it for her or is it for you?" The answers are quite obvious and Courtney is now excelling in this one sport, tennis, quite rapidly. Courtney is becoming a different person, she is a lot more sure of herself and more independent. I'm a very satisfied customer for picking Ace Tennis Lessons in teaching my 6 year old, Courtney tennis lessons and you will be also!

Provided by YP.comMy flexible power became better!
What is the value of tennis? Absolutely nothing, except to beat the heck out of someone. That's what I thought a few months ago, but coach Perez says "It isn't what you do to the game, it's what the game does to you." I'm a 26 year old male and the only reason I got into tennis was because my girlfriend was thrashing me at this game. As a teenager, I've always played team sports. Looking back at those times, there was only one reason, why I was doing those sports and it was, just to be recognized, just to be seen. My parents were the same, "Look there! My son just made a touchdown!" Yeah, it got me a lot of girlfriends but other than that, no passion, no real love. Even with music and chess lessons, I was just there...
Now for tennis, I started to develop a real passion because of its advantages. Coach Perez says "You have to get in shape for the game."
• So I lost 50 pounds and became faster through coach's court line sprinting
• My flexible power became better through coach's plyometrics.
• My agility became better through coach's tennis drills.
• My philosophy towards the game started to change through coach's mental training.
It didn't matter if I was winning or losing at this game, as long as I was having fun! "It isn't what you do the game, it's what the game does to you!"
Overall this game, like no other sport, has helped me create more and more challenges in my life. I am now training to run my first marathon.
The ball is on your court, as on who you want as a tennis coach?

Provided by YP.comI am the instant winner that everybody wants to be.
I went from losing every single league match (that was before I started taking lessons from coach Perez) to league champion winner. Tennis pro/instructor Robert Perez has to be credited for that. He just didn't do it for me but also accomplished it to my 14 year old son. Same scenario, losing every ZAT singles tournament (that was before taking lessons) and then 2 weeks later the finals and then finally having enough points to reach the next level, Championship. My son is still improving and looking forward to playing Super Championship. The proof is in the results. Its been an easy decision for me in who I want in my corner, coach Robert Perez, of course. Who do you want in your corner?

Provided by YP.comThe biggest influential role model my son has ever had this tennis coach Robert Perez. My son has had basketball, football, soccer, baseball coaches, no other coach compares to this tennis coach. I hear his words echo right back from my son to my youngest son "I want you to go right in there with your head up high and just give it a try, it's all about trying!" This time it had nothing to do with tennis, these instructions was given to my youngest son for a school play he was in and bit nervous about. Parents don't understand how big of an impact coaches can be towards a young adult. Making coaches the most valuable person they have ever run across. I overheard one day, coach Perez's first time lesson to a teenager and after the lesson was over the parent says "All I'm concerned about: Is my son guaranteed to win?" And "Can you give me your lowest price? I only want to pay per hour." Which is a hidden meaning: if the teenager isn't winning, the parent will to stop paying. Coach Perez turns down this opportunity immediately. Parents should understand it is not about winning or getting the lowest price. The lowest price might just degrade the possible good role model that your teenager could be getting into. Parents don't understand this or maybe they do and tend to ignore it. These are impressionable years for a teenager. Would you want a tennis coach that's all about winning? Are you out to degrade the tennis pro and his abilities by asking for the lowest price? Well I hope not! On the contrary coach Robert Perez is the good role model and the good Samaritan for you!

Provided by YP.comBest tennis coach in Houston! I met Robert Perez, the tennis player, not too long ago at a tennis tournament in Dallas when I was living there, I had to play him first round. I was barely able to take one game, after losing the first set 6-0 and down 0-5 in games in the second but I did managed to win consolations after that loss. I do quite well normally in age division tournaments and I have never have played league tournaments, too much sand bagging. Now living in Houston, I look up Robert to play him once again. Sorry to report, same identical score, love and one. We have become friends ever since then and recently teaching my wife how to play. She's doing quite nicely winning league tournaments and advancing in Women's Open Singles. It's nice to know her tennis coach Robert Perez has also advanced in his own game. And unlike other coaches he lets me be in every single lesson for free, that's his normal. Funny, he calls me his assistant pro but he does all the teaching, I just encourage her. Which is great, between lessons I just enforce what he's been instructing. Advanced tennis player, magnificent coach, mentor, great guy, there at tennis tournaments coaching you, what else do you need? Trust me, you wouldn't go wrong with this instructor!

Provided by YP.comExcellent Tennis Coach.
I have been playing tennis on and off for about 15 years and in that 15 years Robert has been my coach for more than half the time. Robert is a thorough instructor. He takes the time to dissect your stroke so that it is more effective and efficient. I have never meet an instructor who worked as hard as he does to make you a better player. Robert is not afraid to tell you what you need to do to improve. I highly recommend Robert if you want to improve your tennis game

I went from a free screening to a group lesson to taking private lessons and still keeping the group lessons alive. Its been a magnificent adventure of learning the game of tennis through coach Robert Perez. Coach knows all sorts of drills and different ways of teaching me the specialty shots. For example: Roger Federer's between the legs when retrieving a lob, topspin serve, drop shot volley and a topspin lob that I can hit with my forehand or backhand. Coach Robert Perez is an encyclopedia on the game both mentally and physically. Try him out with that free screening. Best Coach hands down. Come check him out.

Provided by YPmobileIt's downright RIDICULOUS to get upset about this game, called tennis or even ask for your money back just because things aren't going your way. In winning, in teaching (especially when you're not the teacher), in losing, in overconfidence, in dealing with choking, in negative emotional feelings, anger, worrisome, anxiety, to mention a few. People should just get over it, it's just a game. I used to be this way but not anymore with the help of Coach Robert Perez. This Coach can help you to JUST GET OVER IT & DO WORK!
