- Alabama Furniture was started in 1991 on West Alabama Street in the Houston Heights. It was opened as an Eclectic Consignment store that supported the Community through starting The South Texas Association of Resale Shops. Over the Years Alabama Furniture has moved to new locations, relocating the Storefront to Yale Street with a supporting Warehouse on Karbach Drive, and then opening a second storefront on Memorial Drive. They now have moved to North Shepherd Drive, where they currently have their sole storefront. They are still a supporter of their local community, assisting in various charitable organizations and by working with the North Shepherd Community Alliance.
