Provided by YP.comSO disappointed! I schedule my move at 6pm - the movers were 45 minutes late (didn't call until after 6:20 to let us know). Once they were there, they seemed polite (in English) and was willing to move a few more things than was initially asked, however, the truck filled up completely and that didn't happen. No problem. The problem began after they loaded up and we were about to leave for storage... it was 10:30pm. Our storage closes at 9pm! Although I should have thought about that, All Purpose Movers are the professionals and should have asked as moving is a stressful time. At this point there was no choice but for them to keep our stuff over night which tagged on an additional $60 for "overnight storage." My partner and I had to work the next day and also needed to register our 8 year old into his new school. We told Victor we'd try to meet the movers at 8:30 but absolutely couldn't make it; it was impossible. This mishap caused a tremendous amount of stress! They then (after agreeing to accepting a check) asked us to pay cash. This took more time out of our morning while they waited on us. We ended up having to open our storage and allowing them to unload without our supervision (HUGE mistake!). I felt bad for not thinking about the storage closing at 9pm and about not making it at 8:30am so I thanked them, even tipped them $40 and went so far as to tell Victor they did a good job. Hind sight, they were 45 minutes late, they were unprofessional by not asking the question (about storage) that they should have asked. I am half hispanic and speak the language fluently (I don't look it) so I listened to very immature and offensive conversation during the move (I was embarrassed FOR them to let them know that I knew what they were saying). I was charged $60 for keeping my items in their truck overnight (rip off). And the worst part was returning to our storage facility after they moved our things in. I wanted to cry. There was heavy furniture stacked on tiny boxes with breakable Christmas ornaments, our $2000 dining table was destroyed... not just scratched but every leg had a wedge of wood knocked out of it and the table was completely flawless prior to moving. Heavy and large items that we can't transport were not taken to the correct place (causing the rental of a U-Haul truck and another days work which was rough considering I have a bad back), and last but not least, almost everything in the storage looked like it was just thrown in with no regard whatsoever! I would have loved to leave a good review but I can't. This was the worst moving experience I have ever had.
