Anderson Academy is a Title 1 public school. It offers a direct instruction program, which is a phonics-based reading and language program and includes bilingual instruction. The academy also offers a Montessori program in which students learn through a sensorial approach and master reading, mathematics, language and other academic skills. Anderson Academy s fine arts program includes dance, Suzuki violin, choral music, visual arts, piano and drama. In addition, it organizes a variety of events, such as spelling bee competitions and family feasts. Anderson Academy is located in Houston and is a part of the Aldine Independent School District.
