It's been over five years being natural and always in braids or twist. This is the first year I gotten a silk press and the detangling process was painless. I have slot of hair! They were so patient and careful withy hair.

I have never left a bad review in my life but this is disgusting!!!! I went to this salon to get my hair done. I wanted a cut style and dye. The hair color I wanted was blonde. A certain shade of blonde that I showed the owner who was doing my hair. She dyed my hair with a box color that she had (it was the one I picked). Now I am not ignorant to what to expect from a professional dye service. I did not get picky just because she used a box color. However the color was not acheived. The shade that it was at that point not compliment my skin nor was it close to the shade on the box. My hair is orange. The owner explained that color is not an exact science. I am a Chemist, when you use a box color with a lift you do run the risk of color variations. So I asked her could I come back to try to acheive the color, she said that I could do a bleach today and that it would be an additional 25.00. I said but I have not gotten the color I am already being charged for. She said “well that’s an additional service”.I pointed out that she used a box color. She then said “but I did mix it.” I said “but the color was not acheived”. She then said”do you want to just pay me for what I have already done?” I said “yeah I think that’s what i want to do.” I was sitting there with my hair wet and all over my head. Looking a hot mess. I had to write this review because her customer service and chosen method of dying my hair were subpar for any salon!!!! The service was improper. The owner knew she was trying to acheive a blonde color on a client with black hair! Why she would take a short cut and then expect the client to pay for it when it failed is beyond indecent. This also shows her level of insincerity for a client. She might as well have said “if you don’t like what I did, even though you are paying for it, then get the hell out. I don’t care what you look like.” I did get the hell out.

My daughter referred me to Tammy and I am so glad I went to Trendz By Tammy. It's been over a week and my hair STILL has body and sheen like I just walked out of the salon. I got a shampoo conditioning and cut with a silk press. You don't have to settle because she is into hair care, coloring, precision cuts and styling. She also consults you on maintaining the look you walk out with !!!

The owner Tammy is very talented, however, she is slow and unprofessional. For new clients she fail to communicate the wait time, therefore you sit for hours without acknowledgment from her. She uses her assistants to communicate to you. Sometimes greed will push business owners to overbook, and Tammy doesn't realize that this is two way. We are paying you for your service, which is over priced. I was told one price over the phone and charged more for a simple perm, cut and style. Don't waste your time going here...

I was serviced by Trendz by Tammy July 13, 2015. The shop was nice and clean. As I entered the shop, I was greeted by two students (shampoo washer) and Tammy. The students are obtaining on the job training (which I thought was awesome). Tammy accessed my hair and I communicated what type of services I wanted. Then I was off to have my hair shampooed. The young lady washing my hair did an awesome job. My scalp was itching really bad before my wash. Tammy did a GREAT job straighten my hair. I was surprise at the body and volume. I will be visiting Tammy again.

It took me forever to find someone that could do my hair when i moved to Houston. I found this salon on the internet. Ive been here twice and have looked it every since. Tammy is very sweet and her shop is clean and homey. Her products are great on ny hair. I absolutely recommend her and also Yvett to anyone thats looking for a salon. Go get Tammyfied. I promise u will not be upset. And if anyone tells u otherwise its really something wrong with them because this salon is great. My husband loves my hair. Im glad i found this salon. Thanks Tammy and her staff as well.

Today, I had my hair done by Trendz/ByTammy on Cullen Blvd 10910, Houston, Texas 77047 I had a very relax me time, Tammy has proven herself to do the impossible, with damaged, over bleached hair , workers their are very pleasant, they make you feel like you are at home, give Tammy a call, 713-440-0404 , after working a full week, Every woman needs that pampering time. I really like this salon a lot! The atmosphere is relaxing and the stylist are very friendly! They work as a team, which works for me. I'm in and out within a hour and a half. I walk in with a mess on my head and walk out with a masterpiece!!!

Its hard to find a beautician when you move to a new city. But I did some research before I decided and this same salon kept coming across my attention. Its so nice in this salon, Tammy is very professional and I love how my hair feels and looks when I leave. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

I usually don't write reviews, but this was really needed! I moved here from Florida in June 2012 & this happen July 2012 & prior to moving I had done my research for salons in Houston & Tammy's seemed like the real deal, since I didn't know the area very well, I gave myself extra time & arrived about 20 mins early, so I sat & sat & sat for about 1hr & half, I finally got my hair washed and condition, sat under the dryer once done, I sat & sat, & sat, for about 45mins, when she finally asked me would I prefer another person to do my hair, I said no & the reasoning for that is because I came to see her & apparently with all the wait time, deserved to see her, so I sat & sat & sat & sat for another 1 hr & half, I was seething by that time, no customer service at all!!! No apologies, no acknowledgement of the wait whatsoever!! But I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt like a dummy! I finally got into her chair, I was trying to explain to her what I wanted, she only half listened to me & hurried to go outside & conversate with someone, came back in & I started to tell her I was upset that I was there for over 4hrs all I got was a shampoo & conditioner, she caught an attitude & told me to leave, I have never in my life had a bad experience like that before, I was really shaken up, because it took a lot out of me to even speak up, because I'm easy going, friendly, & I am never in conflict with anyone, & I didn't want to rock the boat because I'm the newbie in Houston by all means! So I tell everyone & anyone who listens to stay away!!!

Don't waste your time or money! Wish someone would have told me, she rude, unprofessional, and all my hair fell out!

Very unprofessional..over priced. ..rude ...she messed up my haircut and gave me the opposite of what I asked for don't waste ur time or money!!!!

Never never go to this salon

My mother and I recently visited Tammy's Salon. Tammy and her staff were very friendly and the shop has a very comfortable feel. Additionally she uses great products. Unfortunately, all the good stuff stops here. We needed a lot of work on our hair. We needed a weave take down, perm, rinse, cut and style. I do realize hair is a challenge when its been under weave for a while but any stylist should be able to handle that. All I will say is that we paid her well for what she did. She charged us $360 combined and we gave a $30 tip because we always tip stylists for their work but we looked like we had never seen the inside of a beauty shop after she was done. Our hair had ABSOLUTELY no stylying and she is very heavy handed with the oil. There was also a customer who came in before us who had very healthy head of hair but when she left the shop, her hair looked no better than when she walked in so I was able to watch Tammy style three heads and all of us looked a hot mess. I wish her well with her shop but she needs to brush up on current trends and styling if she is going to charge high-end prices.
