I highly recommend this school. My son is currently a junior and has never had a negative thing to say about his school, the quality of his education, or the staff. I love the small setting and the zero tolerance for bullying. The instructors are all highly intelligent and come from strong educational backgrounds. Tuition is affordable!!! for the mid-lower income families that desire a strong education in a safe environment. This school is also heavily connected and supported by the more affluent Strake Jesuit as well as the Galveston-Houston ArchDiocese so they follow very structured guidelines for educational excellence and spiritual support.

This school is the best high s...

This school is the best high school I could ever have chosen to attend. It's a brand new school, and I am part of the first class. We get to participate in college prep classes and in a work study program where we work at corporate companies like, banks, law firms, hospitals and so on. Of course any CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL will be strict, but not overly strict. You get into trouble when you are doing something WRONG. We do have a growing sports program, featuring everything except football, but we are starting a flag football team next year. The school is constantly being renovated and improved. New lockers, new desks, new floors, etc. The teachers' lounge was also recently renovated to include TVs and a pool table, BUT the only reason that it was renovated was because the school won a Gallery Furniture competition that gave the school furniture for the TEACHERS LOUNGE. And personally, as a current student, I don't mind this at all. I love my teachers, and they deserve to at least have a nice place to be between classes, since a lot of them put in up to 15 hours a day being with us and helping us with whatever we need. If you're looking for a high school to JUST play sports at, then you shouldn't come here, because at crj, were all about getting into college and having a successful career. This school offers SOOOO many more opportunities compared to other high schools, not only the work study program, but also numerous field trips, clubs, teams, college trips, free tutoring, volunteer opportunities and much more. What I really like is that at my school, students have a voice. Every teacher and staff member knows you personally. And finally, Cristo Rey didn't Brainwash me OR my parents into anything. The only thing they brainwashed me into doing is being a more successful, responsible, and diligent student. I think that many more students should be "brainwashed" into believing that they can be whoever they want to be if they only try their best at all they do. I genuinely love my school, and I wouldn't want to be at any other high school but this one.
