Provided by YP.comThis guy is the best! If I had more wisdom teeth I would have him take them out. His receptionist is very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. Thanks Doc and staff

Provided by YP.comI would avoid this dentist at all cost. First, Chu charged me a bogus “sterilization fee” at every single appointment regardless the types of visit (initial consultation, post-procedure checkup, etc) or whether any tools/instrument was used to which a sterilization procedure was required. OK, my mistake was to keep coming to him after getting an uneasy feeling about his practice. But, after doing research and finding so many endodontists that were disciplined by the Texas Board of Dentistry, who knows for what, I decided to go with this guy to have my root canal. The whole procedure requires four appointments. The initial consultation, the root canal, applying the permanent crown, and the post-procedure checkup. In the middle of all this, I caught him over charging me above what the insurance company allowed for him to charge me. Yes, this is when I should have bolted. He indicated it was a mistake, but there were overcharges (from $20-$70) for about six procedures relating to this root canal. I couldn’t figure out how this could be a mistake. My mistake number 2 (shame on me, I was too trusting) was to let him continue after discovering his “error”. From day one, I experienced pain from the supposedly cleaned-out tooth – to which he indicated that it was phantom pain and should go away. It never did! To seal the deal, this dentist did not sterilize (so much for the fee) the tooth, after I wore the temporary crown on for 2 weeks, to apply the permanent crown! It got my attention because I caught a whiff of the bacteria-laden tooth as he applied the permanent crown. OK, it is debatable whether this guy is utterly incompetent or he maliciously intended not to completely clear out the infected region and clean the tooth before sealing the permanent crown. I have contended all along that it was a malicious intent because he was forced to reduce his fees after I caught him overcharging me. After reading reviewer #2’s conclusion about how he’s all about money, it pretty much solidify my conclusion. Anyway, I had to completely repeat the tooth canal procedure with a qualified, professional dentist. This is a true and honest statement of what happened to me. You have been forewarn.
