Deepa A. Iyengar, MD, MPH, is a professor and vice chair for the Department of Family and Community Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Dr. Iyengar is also the medical director for two UT Physicians clinics. Dr. Iyengar is board certified in family medicine and sees patients of all ages. She focuses on providing care that is respectful and responsive to each patient’s preferences, needs, and values with respect to clinical decisions. Dr. Iyengar has an interest in health conditions unique to people of Southeast Asian descent, women’s health, and obesity. When Dr. Iyengar is not caring for patients, she enjoys exercising and listening to music.
