If you can at all avoid it dont use these phones. DIrty, lack of maintenance and a total rip off. So, ok now a days people dont use payphones mostly because we all have cellphones. But if the battery dies or you forget it and need to make a call you look for the old standby payphones. Extra Effort payphones are filthy,and not maintained. I went to one near downtown and the payphone would not take my money but it had a dial tone. The only way to make a 50 cent call was to make it collect and have the callee pay nearly 10 times the 50 cent amount. What a RIP OFF!!!! .
