I repeat! Do not join fitness connection!!!! It is going to be my mission from today to let people know how scam is fitness connection!!!! I cancelled my membership as i am moving away and they need proof of me moving away..... Like really??? Proof? Why do i jave to proof for you that i am moving away? If i want to cancel my membership then that's my freaking decision!!!!!!!!!!!!! And worse of all is they have mu bank account so it is easy for them to take money out of my pocket!!!! This is one thing I regret joining in my entire life!!! You suck!!!

They claim to be super cheap, but they have you sign for random fees. They over charged by card, and when I called corporate, a rude woman kept giving attitude about me "trying to get out of paying." They are extremely rude and awful. They tried to make me pay fees of the following month even after I cancelled. Save your money and time. Beware.

Not a stable fitness club

I doubt that Fitness Connection will stay in business for much longer. They heavily rely on people paying for the membership but not using it to alleviate the costs for the people who actually use it. I'm pretty sure their members/active member ratio is ridiculous and they are making money on a lot of people simply because they don't mind paying the $10 a month just because it's cheap or they simply don't know how to cancel it. It's the information era for crying out loud, people should be able to cancel their membership on site or through a website instead of having to send corporate a letter that they want to cancel(most people don't know this).

I asked one of the workers why they don't switch to using a fingerprint scanner instead of using their outdated keycards and he simply replied "fingerprint scanning technology is too expensive and we make a pretty good amount of money on the people who lose their keycards" i decided to cancel my membership based on that alone. I just didn't like the feeling of knowing that they are aware of the damage they are doing to people's wallets. It is only $10 dollars to replace your keycard but i'm pretty sure that money adds up with their multiple locations and thousands of members. Also a fingerprint scanner is dirt cheap and fitness connection won't have to worry about multiple people using the same membership(which is something they also make money on by charging people a fee for letting other people use their membership.)

quick story.....

my friend tried to sneak his little brother in by letting him use his membership and he got caught so Fitness Connection gave him 2 options. He could either pay the fee which was about $80 or he could sign his brother up with a down payment of $35(at the time) and pay $10 a month with a $25 a year equipment maintenance fee. I mean how scammy is that lol. they could easily avoid this situation by using fingerprint scanner. One finger print to one person so there is no way non-members can sneak someone in.



Overall only sign up if you're seriously going to visit the gym regularly and are aware of any fees and the cancellation process.

Stay away! They lure you in with cheap prices and gimmicks but won't let you cancel your membership without *mailing* them a certified letter. It's 2013, the only possible reason for such a policy is to scam people into paying for services not rendered. I canceled my membership 13 months ago and I'm still being charged. My experience isn't the only one, I posted to facebook 5 minutes ago and found out that this happened to 3 other people. I'm getting robbed. I wouldn't be so mad if they hadn't HUNG UP ON ME when I was asking for a refund. Fit Con has no interest in customer service, they've had a lot of chances to make it right but it's obvious that they don't need good customer service because they can sucker enough people to keep joining and paying even after they quit.

Obviously this company doesnt care! All they want is money, money, money!! I have been continually charged late fees cause they said I dont uave money on my account buy for no reason all of sudden my card works when Im charged with late fees? They have been doing that since the beginning and in order for them to reverse the charges is to provide them a print out of your account that shows it has funds! Who has time for that especially when the same issue gets really old! Bottomline, its a modern day robbery and this company dont give a shieeet!

That exactly what happened to me.

I hated this gym. I paid $30 a month to swim laps in a FREEZING pool with wild 12 year old monsters under no supervision. The staff is unprofessional, a good chunk of the members are ghetto, and a lot of the members don't speak a lick of English. And, after reading another comment prior to mine, I agree that the place is a bit dirty and very few of the members use towels (health hazard anyone?) Now, a year and a half later after canceling my membership there, I receive a bill from a collection agency for over $100. I can't provide proof that I sent in the cancellation form, so now I have to pay it before they post to my credit on Friday. They don't give a crap about their members, only about covering their dirty rears. Don't expect too much of this place - they located in "Gunspoint" after all...

if you ask them to cancel an account they will not. They make you go through the act of congress to cancel the account and then a year later still will take money out of your account. I canceled my account on Oct of 2007 and are still arguing with the manager and cooperate office to STOP TAKING MONEY OUT!!!!!!!!



I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!

Buyer BEWARE!!!! I have had a membership there for a while. My vehicle was broken into at this facility. They have cameras watching the parking lot but they don't record. After dispatching police, I found out that this location has many theft incidents. I found out that Two of the facility workers have had their vehichle vandalized as well. The corporate office should start recording this facility. I am cancelling my membership because first of all the area is not very good and I rather spend a little more money in a better area than be sorry in the future. Now I have to spend over $400 to fix my lock cylinder. BUMMER!!!!!!!!!

The gym decided to call wreckers for cars that were parked illegally after 3 years of parking in these spots. So to make a long story short, my car got towed. Noone in the gym was informing anyone that they were going to start towing. I was in the aerobics class and noone said anything, so after 2 hours of being there I walked out to no car. The must have towed about 30 cars because there were a lot of people without their vehicles. I walked back in to talk to the manager, Mark, that was sitting comfortable at his desk, to complain. All I said was that it would have been nice if we were informed of this new procedure after 3 years, and he did nothing. I also told him they were still towing, it would be nice if he could go out there and make an anouncement to everyone that they were towing cars. But nothing got done! So I had to pay $211 to get my car out. This is the part that really made me mad. I went back to the gym the following week because that is the cheapest gym in my area and cars were all parked in the same spots again and the gym allowed it. To this day cars park in these illegal spots and nothing gets done but for that one day they decided to call the tow trucks. I don't understand! Management and customer service is awful at this location, maybe I'll try another one!

nice place, clean, a lot of equipment just not good service

What I like best about the facility is the child care area. The children's area has a flat screen television, study area, playground, tables with toys and seating. It does however get very, very packed in the evening. They give you two hours to workout before you need to pickup your child/ren. While you are working out they have televisions going that view the children's area which is wonderful. There is a nice enclosed women's section that is not too big and not too small for those who are little bit more bashful. The downfall of the gym is no inside running track, swimming area or wet sauna, there is a dry sauna. On occasion it is hard to find loose weight bars that are light enough for women to use in the free weights area, however you can use a bar in the aerobics area.
