They essentially stole $1,447 by delivering defective windows to Harvey victims and then tell. The window panes will literally fall out of the frame when slid to the open position. The Gulf & Basco technician claimed the windows are not defective, but offered to try to fix the windows on the side business. Jeldwen, the manufacturer, recognized the material defects and sent new windows but the wrong style (don't match the non-defective windows, which we haven't asked to be replaced).

For your own good, do NOT use Gulf & Basco and, particularly, avoid Ginger Lella as a salesman at all costs. You will be disappointed.

Purchased windows for a new build from Gulf and Basco in April of 2014. One of the windows was delivered defective/ fiberglass around window was broken causing the window to not function properly. I have repeatedly notified Ginger Lella of this fact and to this day, November 11, 2015 NOTHING has been done to resolve this issue. The window was fitted so the owner could obtain a certificate of occupancy. Still waiting for a resolution from Gulf and Basco or Ginger who sold me the windows. Poor customer service after the sale.

As a small builder we have been working with Gulf & Basco for several years and they have been great to work with. Like any job there are bumps in the road but their customer service people have been very good with getting the issues taken care of as soon as they can. I just stopped in there last month and they were in the process of remodeling their show room and even with all that distraction they were able to take care of me.

I have recently purchased cabinets with Gulf & Basco and I am highly satisfied with them. The sales person knew what they were talking about and walked me through every step. The installation process went smoothly and I am loving the outcome. The girls in the customer service department were very friendly every time I talked to them.

I would agree that this company is a complete disaster when it comes to delivering windows. I was told that a window order would never hold up a framer. I'm told this of course before a buy. Once you are a customer and have paid up front... fat chance getting your windows when they say. They then blame everyone else but themselves claiming they are simply a distributor. Al, the GM is practically non-existent. Doesn't return customer voice mails and won't answer a called transferred to him from his inside sales group. I asked to speak with the GM while on the phone with Chris from inside sales. She puts me on hold and says, "he just told me to go to the warehouse and ask them when they thought I would get my windows. Don't walk from this company... RUN from this company. I'm three weeks out now and still short three windows with no answer from Al or anyone else in his company. I received 1 window delivered today and now that leaves 2 windows out. Go figure! Gulf and Fiasco is an appropriate name.

My builder used this co for windows. I too have hazing and can't see out of them. Just about every window. I have to have them changed at my expense and they told me i should use a diff co cause there fees are higher. I was shocked. I think windows are defective

We recently remodeled our kitc...

We recently remodeled our kitchen. We were impressed with the showroom and kitchen designer. Before the remodel we did a lot of research on how to make a kitchen functional and they gave us suggestions we would have never thought of to make it even better. They also did the installation and had an inspector look at the job to make sure we were satisfied., we are.

I also have a problem with Gul...

I also have a problem with Gulf & Basco with the hazing or spotting in between the double panes and have to pay to have it corrected. These windows are only 2-4 years old and I have a total of 26 of these. I think if enough of us get together we might be able to get a class action suit.

This is the worst company I have ever dealed with. The quality of their product is UNACCEPTABLE- leaky windows. Their customer service is the WORST ever. They placed my order wrong, then they delivered something different to what I ordered, and even different to the wrong order they did themselves. When I complained, they resend the windows (wrongly again), and charged me for that. Then the sales representative disappeared, and didn't respond my calls. I had to replace the windows myself buying from somebody else, and paying extra for them. STAY OUT OF GULF AND BASCO! i don't know how are they still in business

My builder installed their win...

My builder installed their windows a few years ago when my house was being built in Galveston county. About 6 months after I moved in the double pane windows starting to have spots and get hazy. Recently a building inspector pointed out the windows were defective and would have to be repaired or replaced. It took a while but I found someone there who responded. I paid to have them send an their inspector who basically said 95% of all the windows had to be replaced. Then Gulf and Basco informed me I had to pay a small fortune to replace the windows since they only warranty the material. When 95% of their products fail , GUlf Basco should be concerned with their poor quality than trying to rip the customer who now has to pay twice to use their windows. Buyer beware, builder beware. Hopefully a call to the BBB and TRCC will stop these crooks.
