AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! They are not BBB Accredited!!

This was my 2nd time dealing with this company due to my Home Warranty Service assigning them, and they are now blocked from my account!!

The 1st time my fridge went out they forgot to order the part, and when I called to check they then took another week to order it, so I was without a fridge for 2 weeks. I figured it was bad luck. BIG MISTAKE!

This time they came out (Thurs) and I called to verify they ordered the part (Fri), and was told they had but the warranty place had to find it and I should notified by Tues. I called Tues to check, and they said they would call me back. Nothing. Wed I called my Warranty company, who said they had never been contacted and couldn't reach them!!! This only a few days before Christmas! Thurs I called back, and they said my warranty company had waited until Wednesday to approve it (of course, since they DIDN'T CONTACT THEM) and it would take 5-7 days, right before New Years. They finally got the part and came on Thurs, 2 days before New Years Weekend. It didn't work! Fri they came out again, it still didn't work. They didn't care at all.

Tues they came out, said I needed a new compressor this time and it would take a week, and ordered it. The 2nd Thurs after New Years (4 weeks without a fridge!!!) they came out with the new part. However, after 7 service calls with a 30 min window, this visit (#8) they called me saying I wasn't there so they were leaving, but they hadn't called. The tech said he would only wait 10 minutes! The manager (Sadie) basically said it wasn't her problem and to ask the tech why he couldn't wait.

They replaced the compressor...but they had us open the windows because they vented the Freon INTO MY HOME!!! This is ILLEGAL, and horrible for my young children and my animals! They did all of their work without proper safety gear, and acted like it was normal.

After 4 weeks it finally works. I will NEVER use this company again.

Hornet Appliance has the worst customer service every, they never call back when they say they are going too, I would never recommend them to anyone.... no stars for them at all. wouldnt' take it without a star they dont' deserve even 1/2 star.
