He completed his medical education at UT-Houston with an internship and residency in Internal Medicine in 2010. Dr. Zalavarria speaks English and Waray, a dialect spoken in Tacloban City in the Philippines. Dr. Zalavarria is a member of the American College of Physicians, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society and the Herb Fred Medical Society.
