Cara Wilkins is a former Assistant Chief Counsel & Legal Advisor U.S. Department of Homeland Security Immigration & Customs Enforcement (legacy INS). She represented the U.S. government in immigration law and employment law matters for 10 years before opening her private law office. During her tenure at DHS ICE, Cara Wilkins represented the U.S. before immigration courts for deportation and removal proceedings, bond proceedings and before the Board of Immigration Appeals. She also served as agency counsel on numerous worksite enforcement/I-9 cases enforcing employer compliance with I-9 reporting. Ms. Wilkins provided legal advice to all DHS ICE and INS departments including deportation, citizenship and naturalization, asylum, adjustment of status.
