I purchased a cake from Angela at Liberation Gluten-Free Bakery for my friends son who is allergic to Wheat, eggs, dairy, peanuts and tree nuts. The cake was delicious!

I had a wonderful experience with Liberation Gluten Free- Bakery. Angela, the owner, not only bakes some delicious goods, she is as nice and accommodating as a business owner can be. Let me paint a picture. I'm fairly new to Houston and my fiance and I are both gluten free and dairy free. 2/14/14 was not only Valentine's day, but also my girls Birthday! So, a big day for celebration and I, at the last minute, realize I need a cake that's not easy to come by. Time and skills did not lend to baking my own, so I scowered the web looking for a G free bakery. I came across the usuals, Gluten Fee Nation and such, but none were able to whip me up anything last minute on V-Day... understandable. I got Angela on the phone at 8am in the morning, explained my situation. She did not have the bandwidth to create a cake, but she offered to provide a batch of cupcakes for our Birthday celebration. We settled on Vanilla Bean Cupcakes, and she frosted them in her favorite color, blue, with some festive colorful sprinkles on top. They were delicious and made my fiance very happy at dinner that night. In fact, I've heard her mention the cupcakes to friends/family numerous times since. Another really cool thing is Angela works out of her home, which I appreciate. It is accessible right off of a major road and home baking is definitely a cleaner atmosphere. She also had no problem with me picking them up at 7:30 pm that night from battling Houston traffic. So accommodating! When I went to pick them up I was greeted by her husband, invited in to see the family (children) and treated very well. I tried not to take up anymore of their Friday night, but they didn't seem to mind and saw me off with kind words. I've said it all, but based on this experience I highly recommend Liberation, and 100% support small businesses like this---for all these reasons! Thanks Angela!
