I'm really bad about reviewing companies / products, but after I saw the two one stars I felt I should step in and describe my own experience.



It's been about seven months now since I picked my little guy up, but I remember it being nothing but a smooth process. It wasn't instantaneous - you have to fill out a relatively long application, and then (in my experience at least) there were multiple phone calls and a home inspection part. I can safely say that all of this is just to keep the pets interests in heart; many of those animals have already been abandoned or gone through terrible situations. It was also a very educational moment - I live in an apartment and have never had a dog before, but they were still very open minded about my situation and helped me to understand the commitment that I was about to take. The pets that I saw definitely weren't dirty, either!

I completely agree with the last review...we had the same experience!!! I recommend Abandoned Animal Rescue. People are great to work with and the animals are much better taken care of.

Do not put in an adoption app with these animal hoarders. For one thing, their adoption fee is outrageous for abandoned, unregistered animals! Second, they base their decisions about whether or not they personally LIKE YOU. They JUDGE whether or not they THINK you are knowledgeable without a home visit or interview. They go by their own personal vibes which in many cases will be wrong. Their animals are dirty. Filth in the ears etc. It is known that the few fosters they have hoard MANY animals in one locale. Hoarders, as you know, do not let go of animals that easily.



There are other organizations out there that will communicate with potential adoptees better. There are other orgs out there that will research potential families and base decisions after actual meetings. There are CLEANER animals out there! Do not throw almost two hundred smack-a-roos on an animal that is just a small piece of someone's hoarding issue.
