M. C. Williams Middle School provides academic programs with emphasis on the development of basic learning and thinking skills. The school serves more than 600 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes classes in reading, mathematics, science, English and social studies. M. C. Williams Middle School maintains a parent-teacher association that supports several fundraising projects. The school maintains a student council. It offers opportunities for students to participate in a range of sports activities, such as volleyball, football, basketball, and track and field. M. C. Williams Middle School has math, science, history and drama clubs. It also supports the National Junior Honor Society. The school administers a magnet program that includes independent study, cooperative grouping and research activities. M. C. Williams Middle School is governed by the Houston Independent School District, which additionally manages various elementary, middle and high schools.
