Provided by YP.comI'm a resident in which I have enjoyed my stay and space. I too have known several managers and each one has done their job professionally. But, Ms. Shamarilyn rocks with making sure the property is safe and clean with the help of Cesar. She has gone far and beyond to make the tenant feel like we are valued residents. Keep up the good work because the both of you are examples of team work.

Provided by YP.comI have been a resident of midtown Grove for almost 3 years now. I have always been taken care of and love that it is a small property. The new management (6 months now) have upgraded fixtures in the apartments and added amenities. I love my little home and love being able to get to all the fun stuff so easily throughout town.

Provided by YP.comA new owner management company has taken control of the property Oct. 4, 2014. They are sprucing up the exterior, pressure washing everything from the parking lot, building to the wooden fence and it all looks new again. They are fixing everything as well as upgrading all the original builder grade items such as sinks, bath fixtures, and lighting to match watch I expect to see in a higher end property. New LED lighting and HD security surveillance cameras is coming, too. A new Sheriff is in town! I welcome the change.

Provided by YP.comWe have lived here for approximately 8 months and are counting down the days until we move. Like the other review, the water randomly turns off, there have been various power outages, we can hear all of our neighbors on every side and above us, and generally speaking this is not a very safe area of town. Have we been mugged? No, but I have pictures of syringes we found on the street just outside of the gate when we were on a walk, I've seen drugs deals happening on the corner down the street, our bikes were stolen from our patio the first week we lived here, and it's not uncommon for there to be a police chopper flying overhead. The issues lead me to my current, and biggest frustration with this apartment complex. Parking, specifically guest parking, is ATROCIOUS. We pay for two parking spots that are often taken by other cars. There are zero guest parking spots...none whatsoever. Our guests, at any time of the day or night are forced to park on the street. Rarely do I ever invite anyone over without going to pick them up because I just don't feel confident in the safety of their personal belongings being left on the street.
Today at approximately 11:30 AM, we had our wedding planner at our apartment to load up items for the ceremony and within 40 minutes of her being parked in a practically empty parking lot, the management team had taken it upon themselves to come to the rescue of a tenant who was not even home, and call a tow truck and have her towed without any warning or notice! I have gone back through my emails and upon first glance, there are five emails in the past couple of months that they've sent warning residents that a car is in the parking lot and is going to get towed if it is not moved immediately. Did we get an email? Nope. Did anyone stop us when we were loading the car to ask us to move? Nope. Add a random $160 to our tab two days before our wedding because the management team has nothing better to do with their day. It is now 5:33 PM, the resident with that parking spot still isn't home and hasn't been all day. Where are we supposed to load? The was another car parked in the loading dock with no one around to ask to move it, you want me to leave my wedding dress in an open car on the street while we load the car??
Save yourself the trouble...find another apartment to live in. There are plenty around here that are a much better value, have adequate parking, and are in a safer location. I don't expect anyone else to run into this specific issue, but beware when you're moving in...you might get towed.

Provided by YPmobileFirst of all, the building is not made well. Although it is new, the entire building is very cheap and it shows. Ex: The walls of the unit below ours were constantly leaking from the rain or leaky pipes and repair men had to enter our unit on several occasions to make repairs for the unit below us. But the worst part is, on a few occasions, they did so WITHOUT getting our permission first! We would get a call from the property management letting us know they had already entered but not asking for our permission. They would even move our bedroom furniture around and not place it back where it was! We would come home from work and our apartment would be destroyed!
Secondly, there were always issues with the water and power. The wind could blow hard and the power would go out. And the water would shut off weekly like clockwork. Usually every Sunday morning. Luckily I work at a gym and could shower there before my shift but I felt bad for everyone else who had plans on Sundays because bathing wasn't an option for at least 4 hours.
Thirdly is the location. Yes it is convenient, but it is a HORRIBLE and at times DANGEROUS part of town! There are always homeless people walking the lot in front of the apartment complex. I couldn't even walk my dogs 100 yards from the gate without seeing used needles and syringes thrown down on the sidewalk. It was awful.
Lastly and most importantly is the poor/shady management staff. I'll start with the lease. We signed a lease during a promotion they were running that stated, "Sign a 13 Month Lease and Get 2 Months for FREE!" So we took advantage of this. Upon signing the lease we were told that this would be our first month and our last month. So we didn't pay a first month's lease which really helped with the new deposits and opening of all our utility accounts. However, when it was time to move out, the property manager couldn't seem to find that last free month in our lease. We argued over it for a week or so before we finally found a hand written note in our folder that stated the promo. So she finally, yet reluctantly, gave us our last month for free. But she somehow found extra fees to add to it so we actually wound up paying $700 for our last month.
Also, when you are signing, they don't tell you that EVERYTHING costs extra. Like parking, garbage, water, dogs, and several other "hidden fees". It's very frustrating because it is simply poor communication on their part.
Finally, 30 days after we moved out we received a voice mail from the property manager informing us that we owed $400 for new carpets! That's after she kept our ENTIRE $600 deposit! So a total of $1,000 for new carpets??? Seems like a bit much. Although I had requested for her to have them cleaned professionally and charge us, she said they needed replacing completely. They didn't but whatever. So I told her I would pay it. Then about 10 days later, she added another $200 charge for some damage to a cabinet door. I argued that she couldn't keep adding charges months after we have moved out. She agreed and had her repair man fix the door. Then apx 60 days after we moved out she contacted us again with an additional charge for the microwave door! She said it was damaged and the whole microwave had to be replaced! This is a complete lie, the door was perfect when we left.
This is the most unprofessional property management company I have ever done business with. If I can give anyone one piece of advice, DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!
