I have lived here since December 2013, and I would have to say my experience here has been complicated. There is no parking, trash everywhere, people drinking alcohol in the parking lot and leaving it there for me to pick up? No, I don't think so, and to top off what goes on outside, let's take a look at what's going on inside the units, two words; bed bugs. I never thought I would have to write such a bad review about his place until now. I've contacted management about the intoxicated residents, and they told me to call the police... Doesn't Mirabella supposedly have security? oh wait no they lied and said they did just before I moved in on December. Which by the way, was not a pleasant experience either. The carpets were wet because they said the apartment wasn't ready for my arrival. So, instead of driving ALL the way back (30 miles away) where I came from previously to drop off 3 large couches, a 600 lb marble table and a queen size bed, I put it on a wet floor here at Mirabella "Galleria". Yes, it's close to a lot of the business in Houston, but how does that make my stay here any better than at the palms, or park at voss. Sadly it doesn't. Is it in the galleria area? absolutely not, which ultimately sounds to me like FALSE advertisement.
Roaches:
Everywhere, it's almost like that movie creep show. I've had an exterminator come three times, and still they still crawl on my clean counter tops. Sadly, I keep my apartment very clean, and these vermin still continue to be an issue to this day. I've noticed several species of these creatures too, but that doesn't even matter, what matters is that they will not go away.
Bed Bugs:
I had originally lived in a two bedroom when I first moved in with a roommate, and after a year things didn't work out, so I downgraded to a one bedroom. When I mean downgraded, I mean the lifestyle of this part of the complex I didn't realize had been blossoming in poverty. Individuals who were from different countries who do not speak one word of elementary English get intoxicated on the floors of the entrance of their units almost daily. When I finally moved into my unit I had noticed black spots on the ceilings, and noted it on the inventory sheet they gave me. Little did I know, until four months later that these were hiding places for bed bugs (yes, they can live up to a year with out food "human blood" for an entire YEAR according to the very well known established Center for Disease Control). So for months, they have been feeding off me, and now my partner and have made themselves at home on my $800 dollar mattress that the exterminator told me I must throw away. Who which by the way was hired by Mirabella to come and investigate the issue. I'm not stupid at all, I know for a fact when they exterminate my apartment the bugs will survive, that's just Mother Nature. And who's to say they they're not coming from next door or from the residents, who are I'm certain are immigrants. All I know is that I've never had this issue until I decided to move to a one bedroom at Mirabella Galleria apartments, and now I don't even feel comfortable sleeping in my own home. Beware this is an issue that has been occurring at Parawest management properties all over Houston, and they're charging their tenants to fix it which is a big No No especially if you're over charging them to live like this. They are a 300M dollar business, where is all the tenants money going to?? It's certainly not bedbug treatment or large renovations, because by the look of these pictures it's going to require more than a few thousand dollars to fix, and is most certainly NOT coming out of my pocket any longer.
I'm just saying to any future resident, please consider your options before you move into this infested complex, that there are WAY more fish in the sea when it comes to apartment shopping.
