I checked out Oriental Rug Bazaar’s online selection and was surprised at how many different styles they had. The categories helped me narrow my search and I ended up buying a flat weave rug with a cool eccentric design. It’s thinner than many other rugs I found and works great in my kitchen. Anything you buy from them online is 20% off. It’s really convenient if you can’t make it to the Galleria area to physically check out their store.

Since we moved into our new home and started decorating, I have had a very particular vision for every room. We had been looking everywhere for months to find the perfect rug for the formal living room, but couldn’t find anything that met the high standards I had set. When we went to Oriental Rug Bazaar, our search was finally over. Our antique silk rug is beautifully matched to the rest of the house and is, by far, one of my favorite purchases ever.

I have several antique rugs that have been in my family for generations and they desperately needed to be cleaned. However, I was always hesitant because of their age and fragility. A friend just had her rugs cleaned by Oriental Rug Bazaar and, when I saw what a wonderful job they had done, I went online and set up an appointment for the next day. The staff was prompt and professional and when I got my rugs back a week later, they looked better than I could have ever imagined.

My husband and I just moved into a new, modern townhome that we love, but we wanted to add some warmth that still matched the sleek architecture. I heard about Oriental Rug Bazaar on Facebook and went to their online store that night. The inventory, especially the antique rugs, was unparalleled; I’ve never seen anything that comes even close. Six months later, our rugs look just as beautiful as ever around our home.

I have several antique Persian rugs that have been passed through my family for generations. They were looking a little worn, but I have always been hesitant to have them cleaned and repaired because of their age and value. However, a friend recommended Oriental Rug Bazaar as being the best available, so I took several of my rugs to their showroom by the Galleria. Not only were they able to clean and repair my rugs to their full potential, but they also appraised and certified them. I am so pleased with my rugs when I see them every day and am so thankful to the Taghdisi’s and the staff at Oriental Rug Bazaar for treating me and my heirlooms with respect and care.

We were looking for a new rug for our house, but didn’t really like anything we saw. We were about to settle for a rug from RugsUSA, when we heard about Oriental Rug Bazaar. We looked up their website and there were so many more choices! We ended up getting a custom rug that looks beautiful and took less than a month from order to delivery.

I bought a house full of the most unique antique oushaks from Oriental Rug Bazaar specifically Alan Taghdisi. He is a first class rug King. Thanks again.

The service was exception! The runner rug is beautiful and greatly enhances the entrance hall and the floor water fountain as one enters our home. The rug matches my decor in that area perfectly.



I was given the opportunity to bring the rug home to ensure that the measurements were accurate and that the rug was a good fit for my decor. I did not feel pressured to make a selection. Time was spent in explaining which rugs were hand made vs machine made and the difference between the two rugs, but the choice was clearly mine as to which one to buy.



The rug was cut to my specifications within 2 days, and the sales representative, Judy Harry, called to ensure that I was satisfied.

Showroom has definifinitely royal look. Sales people (except the two young helpers) are extremely rude (usually thats normal for most middle east people), do not know how to talk. They definitely have huge collection, but I really dislike the kind of buisness they are doing. None of their rug has any official, printed label, no UPC. Only a symbolic pieces of cloth or paper attached to each rug that has a big price label and symbolic words. The Piece of label also has no accurate information, if the price written is $4000 the sales lady says that she can sell it for $2500 and she said similar for every single rug. So it is extremely difficult to know if you are getting the right rug with genuinie material at right price.

Most of the rug dealer in Westheimer, Richmond and Harwin in Houston practicing similar buisness for long time, selling rug with no official label at arbitrarily set price based on type of customer they see. Something needs to be done legally to change the way they are doing buisness taking advantage of ignorant customers.
