These folks say they are different than "the other company that bears a similar name". I have used both in the last week. In my opinion, both are less than reputable.



The Overhead Door Company of Houston at 11533 S. Main St. came out yesterday and installed a new opener on my door. Within 30 minutes of their tech leaving, my garage door would not close. I called Tom whom I suppose is their service manager. He told me they would get someone out on the following Monday or Tuesday. This is within minutes of me paying them by check over $600 for a brand new Liftmaster opener . After my objection to that notion, Tom assured me they would be back out same day (Friday) to fix it.



Today is Saturday. Still no call back and my garage door will not close. Called their weekend number. One of their contractors called back and said he would come out, but would have to charge me. That is totally ridiculous. I am not giving these guy another penny. Way to go The Genuine. The Original. Overhead Door Company of Houston! Really great customer service. You are no different than the others perpertrating yourselves as a company doing respectable honest business. I would steer clear of these guys. I don't see how they carry a recommendation from Tom Tynan, the local home show radio host. Oops! forgot about that sponsorship money!

Called these people to fix our door. Came promptly well before four pm. Gave us an estimate of $150.00 to adj door jam and minor repair. Took techs. aprx 30 mins Then told me it would be $248.98 due to after hours charge. Reluctently paid with Credit card and then they send me an invoice for $248.98 saying I owed them that amount... Watch theese scammers.. Bad Bad Bad

My door was fixed extremely well. I never had any problems with it. The worker immediately arrives just in time. I really like this company.

I used their company a couple of weeks ago and was very pleased with the service I received. They showed up on time, worked very quickly and were reasonably priced. I received cheaper quotes from other companies, but I wasn't sure if I could trust their service. I will always use Overhead Door Co of Houston.
