Provided by YP.comDo not prepay under any circumstances. While a fine enough dog trainer, Holly struggles as a business person, has no concept of money and no sense of obligation to refund unearned revenues. She closed her facility and has yet to refund the prepaid deposits for me, or to my knowledge, any of her other daycare customers. She has not responded to any of my inquiries as to timing of the outstanding balance. Based on the other reviews, it doesn't appear that her practice of taking people's money is limited to her now defunct daycare service. Pay her only when she's completed the agreed-upon service to your satisfaction, or go to someone else.

Provided by YP.comIf you love your dog, please think before bringing it to Pup Scouts! I brought my pup to that place because it was slightly cheaper than other places and on the way to work. The place was smelly and small but the owner Holly seemed to be nice and knowledgeable at first. Despite occasional scratches on her nose and coming home extremely stinky, my dog was doing ok until I needed to board her for 2 weeks. The night I picked her up from Pup Scouts, she had a strong allergic reaction to something and I needed to bring her to the emergency pet hospital at 2 am. Maybe a coincidence but she has never had anything like this before or after. In the next couple of weeks, she developed a kennel cough which grew into pneumonia and thus resulted in quite expensive treatment. Holly of course denied any association between kennel cough and her kennels. I have also noticed that my dog is extremely dehydrated (if you noticed, there is not water in the room where dogs are playing; the water bowl is outside and the dogs are getting water only a couple of times per day). I pointed this out to Holly and asked her to give my dog water more frequently. She replied that my dog is taken care of and if I am not satisfied, I can take my dog and leave. This is what I did but of course I have never received reimbursement for 10 day package I paid for (despite email, calls, and promises to send a check). A couple of weeks later my vet diagnosed my dog with the ring worm infection on her skin which again resulted in very expensive and long treatment. Knowing what I know now about Pup Scouts, I would never bring my dog to that slightly cheaper place... but of course it is for you to decide.
Water can be a resource for dogs and at times they can fight over it. To prevent that we have a bowl placed so they can drink on their way out and in for potty walks and a bowl behind a gate (you can't see it from the entrance) were we can open the door anytime and let them in to drink without being bothered by other dogs. I was never contacted about any dog with ringworm (although knowing that a person brought in a dog with ringworm would have been helpful but not only have we not had any dogs before that with it, we haven't had any since) and all dogs have to show proof of kennel cough vaccine. If this dog was at Pup Scouts, it would have been vaccinated. We invite people to come by, see our place, talk to our many satisfied clients and find out for themselves.

Provided by YP.comPup Scouts has a great groomer! My pup looks and smells great, and he wasn't the least bit unhappy when I picked him up. I've known Holly for many years, and she has been so helpful in training my dog, who had been abandoned by a previous owner--her training techniques work! I recommend her and Pup Scouts whole-heartedly!

Provided by YP.comPup Scouts requires you to pay a month in advance -- DO NOT DO IT. If they don't like something your dog does, they will not refund your money. They have horrible customer service. The owner will lead you to believe your dog is welcome then at the last minute tell you something different and will not refund any money nor answer any emails or letters. There are many other doggie daycare centers in the Spring Branch area that have grass (outdoors) where your dog can run and play, not be stuck in a storefront shopping center. Be sure to check around.
This client's dog tried to attack another dog resulting in an emergency room visit for the daycare worker who was quick enough to intervene before the other dog got hurt. Pup Scouts never required anyone to buy a package for daycare. Most people pay by the day.
