Purple Sage Elementary School is a coeducational institution that has an annual enrollment of more than 700 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It maintains a parent-teacher association that works with students, families, schools and businesses to expand educational opportunities for students. Purple Sage Elementary School also operates a library media center that houses a collection of nearly 10,000 books and supports various databases for the accelerated reader program. The school has a staff of over 75 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes a nurse, guidance counselor, curriculum coordinator, music teacher, bilingual specialist, custodian, librarian, instructional specialists and physical education coaches. Located in Houston, Purple Sage Elementary School is a part of the Galena Park Independent School District, which teaches approximately 21,000 students.
