Redbud Gallery
303 East 11th Street, Houston, TX 77008
Redbud Gallery is located in the Houston Heights at the corner of East 11th and Cortlandt Street, adjacent to Sharon Kopriva’s Studio. Our goal is to purchase and sell fine art on a global basis. Complimentary art collection consulting and appraisals are also provided. Artists have ranged from masters to first timers. We show all media; including prints, sculpture, ceramics, photos, drawings, glass, paintings, and installations on a local, national and international basis. The openings are free and typically held on the first Saturday night of the month from 6pm to 9pm. Well-known artists such as Lucas Johnson, Felicien Rops, Angelbert Metoyer, Al Souza, John Biggers, and many others have had over 200 solo exhibitions during Redbud’s long history. The gallery specializes in works on paper by old and modern masters from Durer, Rembrandt, Ruscha, Man Ray, Rauschenberg, and numerous German Expressionists and Mexican masters. We promote Texas art by organizing group exchange shows in Germany, China, Peru, Cuba, Mexico, Greece, Turkey, and France, in addition to arranging national fundraisers. Redbud also provides artists with an opportunity to work in Hilmsen, an artist run residency located near Salzwedel, Germany and operated by Hans Molzberger.
